The hardened polymer-composite matrix further includes a polymer formed by hardening the starting polymer material from a liquid state, and a plurality of nanoparticles having mean diameter of 1 mcm or less, substantially uniformly distributed in the polymer-composite matrix, and said particles consist of silicon dioxide particles, calcite particles or combinations thereof, and optionally a corrosion-resistant cladding substantially surrounding the continuous fibre. In some versions, the plurality of particles includes surface-modified particles having a core and a surface-modifying substance bonded to the core and reacting with the polymer hardened from a liquid state. The invention also describes multi-wire cables, which include one or more said heat-shrinking polymer-composite wires, and methods of producing and using said heat-shrinking polymer-composite wires and multi-wire cables. Multi-filament polyamide yarns characterized by high tenacity and low shrinkage are disclosed. Such yarns or fabrics made therefrom can be used in industrial applications in which such a combination of properties is desirable. Such yarns are particularly useful in the manufacture of automobile airbag fabrics. Also disclosed is a process for making such yarns. The yarn manufacturing process involves spin-drawing molten nylon, relaxing and controlling the yarn tension, and then winding the yarn. Yarns made according to this process exhibit linear density in the range of 110 - 940 decitex, tenacity equal to or greater than 80 cN/tex, and shrinkage, measured at 177°C, of less than 5%.

Thus, the energy cost due to leakage of pressurized steam can be reduced. In addition, the device can be prevented from thermally deforming, and the yarn can simultaneously be prevented from fluffing or breaking.

Such nylon staple fibers are produced by preparing tows of relatively high molecular weight nylon filaments (RV of 65 to 100), drawing and annealing such tows via a two-stage drawing and annealing operation and then cutting or otherwise converting the drawn and annealed tows into the desired high strength nylon staple fibers. The nylon staple fibers so prepared can be blended with a companion fiber such as cotton staple fibers to produce nylon/cotton (NYCO) yarns.

На этапе обработки собачью шерсть для дезинфекции и устранения запаха замачивают в водным растворе, содержащем 0,1-0,3 мас.% жидкого отбеливателя на основе гипохлорита натрия, далее промывают в водном растворе, содержащем 2-5 мас.% композиции шампуня, и полощут в водном растворе, содержащем 2-5 мас.% кондиционирующей композиции, а затем в чистой воде. Далее шерсть сушат при температуре 40-50 °С, размещая при этом шерсть между слоями ткани. На заключительном этапе прядения подготовленную сухую шерсть подают для прядения смоченными в воде пальцами рук. FIELD: chemistry. SUBSTANCE: fibers are obtained from a thermoplastic composition which comprises hard renewable polyester, has a porous structure and a low density. To obtain such a structure, a renewable polyester is mixed with a polymer additive that increases the impact strength, so that the additive can be dispersed as discrete physical domains in a continuous matrix of renewable polyester. Then, fibers are formed which is subjected to tension or stretching at a temperature below the glass transition temperature of the polyester, i.e. subjected to cold drawing. The deformation force and stress at elongation during stretching leads to disruption of adhesion in the renewable polyester matrixin the areas adjacent to the discrete domains. As a result a mesh structure is obtained of pores located near the discrete domains, which by their proximity may form bridges between the pore boundaries, acting as internal structural "hinges" that promote stabilization of the mesh structure and increase its ability to dissipate energy. Fibers that are formed from a thermoplastic composition that contains a rigid renewable polyester and has a voided structure and low density are provided. The aliphatic polyester polymer may be selected from a polybutylene succinate polymer, a polybutylene succinate-co-adipate polymer, or a blend of these polymers. The biodegradable bicomponent fiber exhibits substantial biodegradable properties, yet has improved thermal stability and has significantly reduced shrinkage. A biodegradable hydrophilic binder fiber. These fibers may be produced by co-spinning an aliphatic polyester material in a side-by-side configuration with a polylactide polymer to obtain a fiber with improved material attributes. A multicarboxylic acid may be incorporated into either or both components of the fiber. The aliphatic polyester polymer may be selected from a polybutylene succinate polymer, a polybutylene succinate-co-adipate polymer, or a blend of these polymers. The biodegradable bicomponent fiber exhibits substantial biodegradable properties, yet has improved thermal stability and has significantly reduced shrinkage. The bicomponent fiber may be used in a disposable absorbent product intended for the absorption of fluids such as body fluids.

(III) is claimed as either: (a) a monomer with two alkyl gps. and one phenyl gp per phosphorus moiety, being phenyl di-2-decyl phosphite, or (b) a polymer with 1.7:1-2.2:1 alkyl gps. per phosphorus moiety and 1.3:1-0.8:1 phenyl gps. per phosphite moiety and no more than 8 phosphorus atoms/molecule. The mol wt. is at least 350 and decaphenyl heptakis (dipropopylene glycol)-octaphosphite is claimed. (III) (a) and (b) are in an amt. of 0.5-10% by wt. of (I) (pref. 1-3%).
