This specification describes systems for the treatment and reuse of grey water and related processes. An exemplary system collects grey water from baths and showers and treats it for use in toilet flushing. Influent bathing water passes through a prefilter to remove larger particles and flows into a grey water collection tank. Collected grey water is filtered through a membrane designed to remove suspended solids. Membrane permeate passes through a sorbent media to remove soluble organics and then flows into a permeate tank. This invention harvests abundant, highly usable washing machine rinse cycle water for irrigation and other uses. This is accomplished using two separate devices working together; it is comprised of a valve assembly (FIG. 2 B), for diverting this rinse water to a collector and the collector ( 10 ) which improves the quality of the water, then distributes it. By closing a single valve ( 7 ) during the rinse cycle, the user is effectively watering the landscaping. This system uses one or a series of expandable and stackable rectangular boxes designed to collect rainwater from a rooftop or other manmade impervious surface via a downspout to reduce rainwater runoff and harvest rainwater for reuse. Rainwater is diverted from the downspout into the boxes that are connected by pipes. The collected rainwater exits from a valve leading to an opening for reuse. The present invention relates to water disposable system comprised of a connecting member having a first side of the connecting member which is connected to at least one unwanted water source which feeds unwanted water to the toilet tank via gravity and further comprises at least one valve to control the flow of unwanted water. The water tank of the toilet is connected to a second side of the connecting member to receive unwanted water and is further enabled to receive fresh water from a fresh water pipe. The water tank comprises a strainer and a standpipe to refill the toilet bowl and the tank simultaneously whilst preventing debris from clogging the small ports within the rim of the toilet bowl. A flushing lever and a second end of the lever is coupled with a rubber flap via a chain with a small float attached at the minimum water line. The purpose of the rubber flap is to allow sufficient water into the bowl in order to flush waste, and the small float attached to the chain is to maintain tension on the chain keeping the flap open when only a small amount of water is available and to allow efficient flushing. Fresh water is maintained at a minimum in the tank by the use of two floats in communication with respective levers to allow fresh water to enter the toilet tank up to a preset volume by water level within the tank. The first float is situated at a low height within the tank to maintain the minimum volume of water required to flush waste. The second float is situated at a height to maintain the maximum volume of water required to flush waste. The water diverter fitting described includes an inlet port and two outlet ports, as well as a directional strainer. Orientation of the strainer determines which outlet the majority of the water flows out of, the remainder of the water trickling out of the other port to be used in trap priming and enhancement of line flow. One outlet can also be used as a plug and play access point for a plurality of water regulation technologies including drain closure for a bathing vessel and heat recovery technologies. The directional strainer also serves as a removable fiber filter, and fits within the drain fitting such that a blockage in the water reuse system will allow automatic backflow to the primary sanitary drain without intervention by the bather and without pooling of diverted water. The invention relates to a heat recovery unit to transfer heat from a gray water source discharged from a bath or a shower to preheat fresh cold water supplying a bath, a shower, a boiler system or hot water heater.
