Изобретение относится к способу получения фотохромных оптических изделий. Способ включает (i) нанесение первого органического растворителя на поверхность оптической подложки с образованием смоченной органическим растворителем поверхности оптической подложки, (ii) нанесение отверждаемого фотохромного состава на смоченную органическим растворителем поверхность оптической подложки и (iii) по меньшей мере частичное отверждение вышеупомянутого отверждаемого слоя фотохромного покрытия. Отверждаемый состав фотохромного покрытия содержит второй органический растворитель. Первый и второй органические растворители могут смешиваться друг с другом и могут быть одинаковыми. Способ включает следующие стадии. Вначале на субстрат наносят цветообразующий полиин, способный к активации путем нагревания, который является нереакционноспособным. Далее осуществляют активацию полиина в тех участках субстрата, где должно быть создано изображение. После активации полиин становится реакционноспособным. Затем превращают активированный полиин в его окрашенную форму с получением изображения. Полиин представляет собой амид, образованный первичным амином и диацетиленмоно- или дикарбоновой кислотой. Изобретение позволяет получить любые цветовые изображения на субстратах, а также создать стойкие устройства с печатными электронными схемами, которые могут быть подвергнуты воздействию окружающей среды без изменений в проводимости. 14 з.п. ф-лы, 15 пр.

These dyes are formed in unexposed areas of photographic materials, especially photothermographic materials, by the reaction of a photosensitive cyclopropenone with a pyridine compound. Oxoindolizine and oxoindolizinium dyes are alternatively formed by 1) reaction of a photosensitive cyclopropenone with a pyridine compound and 2) reaction of the resulting product with a color forming coupler. The photographic material is imagewise exposed and then heated to a processing temperature to form a dye image. Alternatively, the oxoindolizine and oxoindolizinium dyes are produced by imbibing at least one of the reactants into the photographic material comprising a photosensitive cyclopropenone.

In an alternative embodiment, the photochromic agent is directly introduced into the precursor sol. The present invention provides a composition for forming a bottom anti-reflective coating, and also provides a photoresist pattern formation method employing that composition. The present invention relates to photochromic articles that include a substrate and at least one photochromic material that is adapted to change from an unactivated form to an activated form by exposure to radiation substantially in the wavelength range from 380 to 450 nanometers when measured over a range of from 380 to 700 nanometers. The photochromic article is also adapted to retain at least 12 percent of the delta OD measured in the Outdoor Test when tested in the Behind the Windshield Test. The photochromic material can be selected from certain compounds including, for example, fluoranthenoxazines, naphthopyrans, phenanthropyrans, fluoranthenopyrans, and indenonaphthopyrans, which each have bonded thereto at least one chiral or achiral lengthening group that provides the photochromic compound with dichroic properties. Provided is a method and an apparatus for indicating minimum exposure of a surface to UVC light emitted by a source during a decontamination process to achieve a desired level of pathogen reduction. The apparatus includes a photochromic material to be applied to, or applied adjacent to the surface. The photochromic material is to exhibit a visible response to receiving the minimum exposure to the UVC light, and exhibit the visible response to a lesser extent after the photochromic material ceases to be exposed to the UVC light emitted by the source. A protective layer of material that is substantially transparent to the UVC light emitted by the source is positioned over the photochromic material to be disposed between the source and the photochromic material during the decontamination process. 1. An apparatus for indicating minimum exposure of a surface to UVC light emitted by a source during a decontamination process , the apparatus comprising:a photochromic material to be applied to, or applied adjacent to the surface, wherein the photochromic material exhibits a visible response to receiving the minimum exposure to the UVC light, and exhibits the visible response to a lesser extent after the photochromic material ceases to be exposed to the UVC light emitted by the source; anda protective layer of material that is substantially transparent to the UVC light emitted by the source positioned over the photochromic material to be disposed between the source and the photochromic material during the decontamination process.2. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the photochromic material is substantially transparent before being exposed to the UVC light and is substantially opaque and/or changes color as the visible response to receiving the minimum exposure to the UVC light.3. A platemaking system uses an intermediate imaging mask made of a film of photochromic material, preferably bacteriorhodopsin. The film is normally transparent, but it is temporary made opaque by exposure to light of a certain wavelength. An image is formed on the mask using light of the appropriate wavelength, which renders portions of the mask opaque. The mask is then interposed between a photosensitive printing plate and a light source which produces light to which the plate is sensitive, exposing the printing plate and thereby transferring the desired image onto the plate. The described method is preferably implemented using a transparent rotating drum that is coated with a bR film. As the drum rotates past a green or yellow laser, a desired image is written onto the film by the laser's beam. The drum rotates the image until it is opposite a photosensitive printing plate, and a light source inside the drum exposes the plate through the mask to transfer the image. The system preferably includes another light source that is directed onto the formed image after it has been transferred which “erases” the film and thus prepares it to accept a new image.

The security material is characterized in that it comprises at least one irreversible photosensitive layer on the carrier, and the at least one photochromic protein and/or mutein is contained at least in the at least one photosensitive layer and/or in an optional additional layer. The inventive security material is also characterized in that it is highly forgery-proof, the photochromic biomolecule cannot be removed therefrom in a usable form, and the photochromic biomolecule does not need to be supplied to a large group of clients.
