A reactor that is fabricated with high productivity is provided. The reactor 1 includes an annular magnetic core 11 , a coil molded product 12 A, and an external resin portion 13 . The coil molded product 12 A is disposed around an outer periphery of the magnetic core 11 , the external resin portion 13 covers an outer periphery of an assembly 10 of the magnetic core 11 and the coil molded product 12 A. The magnetic core 2 includes a plurality of core pieces that are combined so as to form an annular shape. The magnetic core 2 is fixed in the annular shape using the external resin portion 13 that covers the magnetic core without use of adhesive. The coil molded product 12 A includes a coil 12 formed of a helically wound wire 12 w and an internal resin portion 12 c that maintains the coil 12 in a compressed state. Since the magnetic core 11 is formed without adhesive, a bonding step is not required. Due to use of the coil molded product 12 A, the coil 12 needs not be compressed while forming the reactor 1 . Thus, the reactor 1 is fabricated with high productivity.

A magnetic device producing a small amount of leakage flux and capable of substantially eliminating the amount of leakage flux that escapes the magnetic core of the device. The device includes at least a portion of an electronic circuit that includes an interphase transformer arranged on a magnetic core. The reactor windings on each leg of the magnetic core are disposed in close proximity to each other and can be wound concentrically or in a bifilar fashion. The resulting combination of the magnetic core and windings provides a high degree of magnetic coupling between reactor windings disposed on the same leg and between reactor windings disposed on differing legs. The high degree of magnetic coupling substantially reduces the amount of leakage flux that can affect other metal objects proximate the magnetic device.

When an outer core that is to be mounted on a reactor is seen in plan, the outer core is a compact that has a plan-view shape in which a side of the outer core that is opposite to a facing side of the outer core, which faces the inner cores, has a smaller dimension in a width direction, which is parallel to a facing surface, than the facing side of the outer core. A method of manufacturing such an outer core includes a preparing step and a compacting step. In the preparing step, coated soft magnetic powder including multiple coated soft magnetic particles formed by coating soft magnetic particles with insulating coated films is prepared as raw-material powder of the outer core. In the compacting step, a compacting space 31 , which is defined by a pillar-like lower punch 12 and a tubular die 10 A, is filled with the coated soft magnetic powder and then the coated soft magnetic powder in the compacting space 31 is compacted by the lower punch 12 and a pillar-like upper punch 11 , the lower punch 12 and the tubular die 10 A being movable relative to each other. In the compacting step, the facing surface of the outer core is pressed by the upper punch 11.

A single-phase reactor comprising:an outer peripheral iron core;at least four iron cores being in contact with or coupled to the inner surface of the outer peripheral iron core, each of the at least four iron cores extending from the outer peripheral iron core at right angles with respect to adjacent ones of the at least four iron cores;coils wound around each of the at least four iron cores;at least four gaps formed between the adjacent ones of the at least four iron cores, and each of the at least four gaps radially extending at right angles with respect to adjacent ones of the at least four gaps to a common connection point at a center of the outer peripheral iron core; andat least one additional iron core positioned in at least one of the four gaps between the coils of the adjacent ones of the at least four iron cores.2. The single-phase reactor of claim 1 , wherein the at least one additional iron has a triangular shape.3. The single-phase reactor of claim 2 , wherein the triangular shape is an isosceles triangle.4. A laminated electronic component includes a body including a magnetic layer containing magnetic particles; a coil provided within the body; and outer electrodes provided on a bottom surface of the body and each electrically connected to any one of end portions of the coil. The coil is formed by connecting a plurality of coil conductors stacked within the body, and the body includes a non-magnetic layer present between one of the outer electrodes and one of the coil conductors opposing the one of the outer electrodes. 1. A laminated electronic component comprising:a body including a magnetic layer containing magnetic particles;a coil provided within the body; andouter electrodes provided on a bottom surface of the body and each electrically connected to any one of end portions of the coil, whereinthe coil is formed by connecting a plurality of coil conductors stacked within the body, andthe body includes a non-magnetic layer present between one of the outer electrodes and one of the coil conductors opposing the one of the outer electrodes.2. The laminated electronic component according to claim 1 , wherein the non-magnetic layer is in contact with the one of the coil conductors opposing the one of the outer electrodes.3. The laminated electronic component according to claim 1 , wherein the non-magnetic layer is in contact with the one of the outer electrodes.4. The permeability of the auxiliary magnetic core is smaller than that of the magnetic core. The winding is wound around the winding part, the air gap, and the auxiliary magnetic core. The auxiliary magnetic core achieves magnetic saturation before that of the magnetic core when current flowing through the winding set is increased, which reduces current variation per unit time of the inductor.
