Stream encryption of concatenated short data//message service (SDS/SMS) messages

The whole message is then stream encrypted 28 using the IV from 27 and secret key from 30 and the result stored in buffer 32. The secure module 24 also generates a full cryptographic check sequence (FCCS) 29 of the message and appends it in buffer 32. The encrypted message, header and FCCS in buffer 32 is then fragmented into SDS/SMS size segments and inserted into the payload of individual messages for transmission. The receiver concatenated the message payloads to reassemble the encrypted message, which is then decrypted.

Systems and methods for priority inbox notifications and synchronization are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method includes, at a computer system, obtaining message information from a server system. The message information represents a set of messages and an importance score associated with each message in the set of messages. The importance score is generated based at least in part on a global importance prediction model and a user importance prediction model. A new mail notification is presented when a determination is made that the set of messages include one or more unread priority messages. The priority messages comprise messages with which the associated importance score satisfy one or more predefined message importance criteria: Optionally, presentation of a new mail notification is foregone when there is a determination that the set of messages do not include any unread priority messages.

A method of federating electronic mail (e-mail). A request can be received from a first user to view at least one e-mail of a second user, the request including at least one identifier corresponding to the second user and a criteria indicating a subject matter of the e-mail. Responsive to determining that the first user is authorized to view the e-mail of the second user that satisfies the criteria, the first user can be provided access to view the at least one e-mail that satisfies the criteria. 1. Within a system comprising a processor and a memory , a method of federating electronic mail (e-mail) , the method comprising:receiving a request from a first user to view at least one e-mail of a second user, the request comprising at least one identifier corresponding to the second user and a criteria indicating a subject matter of the e-mail;verifying whether the first user is authorized to access the e-mail of the second user that satisfies the criteria; andresponsive to determining that the first user is authorized to view the e-mail of the second user that satisfies the criteria, via a processor, providing to the first user access to view at least one e-mail that satisfies the criteria.2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:receiving the e-mail; andparsing content of the e-mail;wherein verifying whether the first user is authorized to access the e-mail of the second user that satisfies the criteria comprises determining whether any of the parsed content corresponds to the subject matter identified by the criteria.3. The method of claim 2 , wherein parsing the content of the e-mail comprises:parsing the content when the e-mail is received.4. According to embodiments described in the specification, a method, system and apparatus for processing calendar events are provided. The method comprises: receiving a calendar event invitation message addressed to at least one recipient device and storing the calendar event invitation message in a memory; determining, at a processor, whether to disable at least one recipient device function; when the determination is affirmative, generating a recipient policy including a recipient device function identifier, and a rule associated with the function identifier; and deploying the recipient policy for the at least one recipient device such that the function is disabled at the recipient device for at least a period of time.

A system and method for detecting generic loops is described. In one example, an inbound email is inspected for a loop token. If a loop token is found, then an event identification and a sender identification is extracted. The extracted sender identification and event identification is applied to a loop token record, and the inbound email is conditionally discarded based on the application to the loop token record. 1. A method comprising:receiving an inbound email;inspecting the inbound email for a loop token;if a loop token is found, then extracting an event identification and a sender identification;applying the extracted sender identification and event identification to a loop token record; andconditionally discarding the inbound email based on the application to the loop token record.2. The method of claim 1 , wherein conditionally discarding comprises discarding if the loop token record indicates that inbound emails are to be discarded that have loop tokens containing the extracted sender identification and event identification.3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the extracted sender identification identifies a penultimate sender claim 1 , the penultimate sender being a sender preceding a sender from which the inbound email is received.4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:inspecting an outbound email for a loop token before receiving the inbound email; andcreating the loop token for the outbound email if the outbound email has no loop token, the loop token identifying the sender of the outbound email using the sender identification and an event using the event identification.5.
