A portable terminal and a wireless module are disclosed. The portable terminal comprises a terminal body and a wireless module. The terminal body comprises a front surface and a back surface opposite to each other, side surfaces connected to the front surface and the back surface, and a terminal circuit board disposed in a space defined by the front surface, the back surface and the side surfaces together; and a display region is disposed on the front surface. The terminal body is provided on one of the side surfaces thereof with a slot for the wireless module to be inserted therein. Disposed on a module circuit board of the wireless module is an SIM card that is electrically connected to the module circuit board. A host device may measure a first voltage and a second voltage received from an accessory, where the voltages are provide through the accessory from a power source. Before measuring the second voltage, the host device may send an instruction to the accessory instructing the accessory to alter an impedance of the power path between the power source and the host device, and the host device may draw at least a threshold amount of current from the power source via the accessory. The host device may then determine whether the accessory includes particular circuitry based on the relationship between the first voltage and the second voltage.

In some implementations, a cover for a consumer device includes side surfaces, a rear surface, a physical interface, a circuit, and a broadband service card. The side surfaces and a rear surface form an opening that receives at least a portion of a consumer device. A first portion of at least one of the surfaces includes a connector for connecting to a port of the consumer device. The circuit connects the physical interface to the connector. Apparatus and methods for digital step attenuators are provided herein. In certain configurations, a DSA includes a plurality of DSA stages that can be set in an attenuation mode or in a bypass mode using a plurality of switching circuits. A first switching circuit of the plurality of switching circuits includes a field effect transistor (FET) switch, a gate resistor, one or more gate resistor bypass switches, and a pulse generation circuit. The gate resistor is electrically connected between a switch control input and a gate of the FET switch, and a switch control signal can be provided to the switch control input to turn on or off the FET switch. A wearable device and methods for using the same provided. In one embodiment, a wearable device includes an antenna disposed in a controller and/or a band. The antenna is an electrically conductive element with three connection points, defining three segments. With one of the connection points driven and the other two grounded, the antenna has characteristics of an inverted-F antenna along with a parasitic element between the two grounded points, parasitic element altering the antenna's directionality. In an embodiment, the antenna includes apertures through which portions of a shielded cable protrude to allow conductors in each cable portion to connect to the printed circuit board which is enclosed within the periphery of the antenna. The shields of the cable portions connect to a ground plane of the printed circuit board and both the shields and the ground plane of the printed circuit board act as a ground for the antenna. 1. Embodiments provide a proximity sensor located at a side edge of a terminal or a top side edge of the terminal. A first included angle is formed between light emitted by the proximity sensor and a touchscreen of the terminal. The terminal obtains data detected by a motion sensor, and motion data of the terminal based on the data detected by the motion sensor. The terminal determines whether the motion data is less than a first threshold. If the motion data is less than the first threshold, the terminal determines that no external object is currently approaching, and skips performing a mistouch prevention action. If the motion data is greater than or equal to the first threshold, the terminal determines, based on data detected by the proximity sensor, whether an external object is approaching, and determines, based on a determining result, whether to subsequently perform the mistouch prevention action.
