Для подачи воды в систему полива установлен второй блок управления 11, связанный с линией 4 подачи воды и линией полива 12, снабженной вентилем 13. The disclosed water tank having a power-generating function comprises: a storage unit, the interior of which has a water storage space, and having an open top and a bottom comprising an outlet portion; and a solar cell module which is mounted on the top of the storage unit, such that an inlet portion is formed to feed water into the storage unit, and which receives solar light and generates electrical energy. Water such as rainwater can be fed into the water tank through the inlet portion formed at the periphery of the solar cell module and stored in the water tank, and water stored in the water tank can be used as needed. The solar cell module is mounted on the top of the water tank, and thus does not occupy space, which prevents the problem of occupying land and reduces general costs related thereto. As described above, the solar cell module, which might otherwise occupy a large amount of space, and a water tank are coupled together, to thereby reduce the costs associated with purchasing land.

    An atmospheric moisture harvesting system, in which water vapor is separated from the air using a liquid desiccant subsystem. The moisture charged liquid desiccant enters a desorber and condensation system, where the moisture is extracted. Cooling and condensation are performed on the extracted water vapor only, thereby saving the energy for cooling air containing the water vapor, as is done in direct cooling systems. The system thus operates as a single stage vapor separation system since the vapor concentration remains in the liquid desiccant which is circulated to the separation and condensation subsystems without air laden with the moisture. Low grade or solar heat can be used as the energy source for the vapor desorption. A heat exchanger utilizes unwanted heat from regenerated desiccant to heat up charged desiccant entering the regenerating stage. The system has substantial energy savings over prior art systems using direct cooling of air.

    An energy generating system includes a dam in an estuary defining a water containment area. The dam includes a plurality of dam elements, each including a plurality of dam panels hingedly connected in series, which are urgeable from an inoperative folded state in a chamber to an operative state by a corresponding pair of main or secondary buoyancy tanks as the tide rises and falls. Each pair of main buoyancy tanks with the corresponding dam element defines a water race within which a water wheel is located. The water wheels are mounted on corresponding drive shafts which are connected in series and which are rotatably carried on support frameworks which are supported on the main buoyancy tanks. Electricity generators are supported on carrier frameworks which are supported on the secondary buoyancy tanks at respective ends of the dam, and are driven by the adjacent one of the drive shafts.
