Each modular component may provide functionality such as server capacity, cooling capacity, fire protection, resistance to electrical failure. The spine itself may be a modular component, so that spine capacity can be expanded or contracted by adding or removing spine modules. The various components may implement functions that are part of standards for various levels of reliability for data centers. A handheld computing device that includes an enclosure having structural walls formed from a glass material that can be radio-transparent. A method for coupling ends of two insulated conductors includes coupling a core of a first insulated conductor to a core of a second insulated conductor. Exposed portions of the cores are located inside a box with an open top. Electrically insulating powder material is placed into the box and a first plunger is inserted through the open top of the box to compact the powder material. Additional electrically insulating powder material is placed into the box and a second plunger is inserted through the open top of the box to compact the powder material into compacted powder material that surrounds the exposed portions of the cores. The compacted powder material is formed into a substantially cylindrical shape. A sleeve is placed over the compacted powder material and coupling the sleeve to the jackets of the insulated conductors.

Rapidly self-drying rectifying flame rod

An assembly for a rapidly-drying rectifying flame rod, having an insulator sleeve. The assembly may further incorporate a mechanical coupling attaching the flame rod to an end part which in turn may be hermetically coupled to an insulator. The insulator may be hermetically coupled to a conduit which may be hermetically coupled to an elongated tube. A conductor may go through the tube, conduit, insulator and end part. The flame rod may be connected to the conductor via the mechanical coupling and end part. For each battery type, a NVMD can receive an input voltage from a power source within an interior chamber of the enhanced battery compartment. The power source can be a AA battery or a CR123A battery and no additional adapter is required when the enhanced battery compartment has been attached to the NVMD. The NVMD can conform to an Army Navy Personal Viewer System 14 (AN/PVS-14) device. The NVMD can regulate the input voltage from the power source and provide an output voltage conforming to a pre-determined setting. In one embodiment, regulation of the input voltage can be performed by a component external to the enhanced battery compartment and installed in the NVMD, such as a subsystem or subassembly of the NVMD. The NVMD can activate a monocular subassembly associated with the NVMD utilizing the output voltage. The monocular subassembly can present a view of an environment within a viewport.

Isolating wet connect components for deployed electrical submersible pumps

An electric motor of an electric submersible pump is electrically isolated from a power conduit for diagnostic testing of the power conduit and wet connection components in place within a wellbore. The electric motor is electrically connected to the power conduit through a wet connection assembly having motor leads in electrical connection with a transfer contact and a receptacle assembly disposed on a tubing string having a supply contact electrically connected to the power conduit. This disclosure provides mechanical layers and methods of forming the same. In one aspect, a method of forming a pixel includes depositing a black mask on a substrate, depositing an optical stack over the black mask, and forming a mechanical layer over the optical stack. The black mask is disposed along at least a portion of a side of the pixel, and the mechanical layer defines a cavity between the mechanical layer and the optical stack. The mechanical layer includes a reflective layer, a dielectric layer, and a cap layer, and the dielectric layer is disposed between the reflective layer and the cap layer. The method further includes forming a notch in the dielectric layer of the mechanical layer along the side of the pixel so as to reduce the overlap of the dielectric layer with the black mask along the side of the pixel.

The buss bar strip can include a thin elongate flat flexible strip of insulative material having a longitudinal length.
