A quantum dot color filter comprises a substrate base plate (11), a pixel layer (14) disposed on the substrate base plate (11), and a filter layer (12) disposed on the substrate base plate (11). The pixel layer (14) comprises multiple pixels, each pixel comprises a plurality of color sub-pixels (14R, 14G, 14B) in different colors, at least one color sub-pixel (14R, 14G, 14B) is formed by a quantum dot material, and the color of light generated by exciting, by incident rays (80), the quantum dot material is same as that of a corresponding color sub-pixel (14R, 14G, 14B). The filter layer (12) is disposed corresponding to the color sub-pixels (14R, 14G, 14B), and is used for absorbing the incident rays (80) which do not excite the quantum dot material but penetrate the color sub-pixels (14R, 14G, 14B).
