The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing salt containing Basella alba. When existing salt including a plant is used to cook food, water is separated from the food. However, according to various embodiments of the present invention, the processed salt containing Basella alba causes reduced separation of water, has a low sodium content, can have increased potassium, calcium, magnesium, total phenols, and total flavonoids, and can have increased antioxidant activity when compared to the existing salt. In addition, the salt containing Basella alba has excellent ability to decompose protein and thus can be advantageously used as a meat processing salt, and also can be advantageously used as a low salinity processed salt with a sodium chloride content 4-5% lower than a sodium chloride content of sun-dried salt.
