The present invention relates to a method to manufacture pig iron almost without using carbon in a heat reservation zone. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method to manufacture pig iron comprises: a step of blowing oxygen and hydrogen, which supplies a flow rate for combustion, into a blast furnace for manufacturing pig iron from iron ores and cokes; a step of generating reduction gas from blast furnace gas, which includes hydrogen flowing from the blast furnace, through a CO_2 reduction reactor; a step of cooling the reduction gas to remove moisture; a step of removing CO_2 including the reduction gas from which the moisture is removed; a step of supplementing hydrogen to the rest of reduction gas, wherein CO_2 is removed from the reduction gas, such that the reduction gas includes less than 5% of CH_4, less than 5% of H_2O, and less than 1% of CO_2; and a step of heating the reduction gas, to which hydrogen is supplemented, at the temperature of 1,000°C or higher ...
