Disclosed is a liquid crystal display device which can reduce power consumption, and can reduce deterioration of picture quality. The liquid crystal display device includes: a substrate; a pixel region defined by a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines arranged to intersect with each other on the substrate; a thin film transistor formed at an intersection of the plurality of gate lines and data lines; a pixel electrode formed in the pixel region; a passivation layer formed on the thin film transistor, the gate line, and the data line; and a common electrode wiring and a common electrode pattern formed on the passivation layer, wherein the passivation layer includes: a first region formed on a gate insulation layer corresponding to the thin film transistor, the gate line, and the data line; and a second region formed on a pixel region corresponding to the pixel electrode with the thickness thinner than that of the first region.
