... 본 발명은 과망간산금속 용액에 탄소를 분산시켜 산화망간/탄소 복합체(MnO2/Carbon composite)를 제조하는 방법 및 이에 따라 제조된 산화망간/탄소 복합체 및 리를 포함하는 리튬/공기 이차전지 공기전극에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 과망간산금속 분말을 증류수에 용해시켜 전구체 용액을 제조하고 여기에 탄소를 침지한 후 환원제를 사용하여 산화망간/탄소 복합체를 제조하고 이어서, 상기에서 제조된 촉매를 PVdF와 섞어 니켈 폼(Ni-foam)에 담지시켜 리튬/공기 이차전지용 공기 전극을 제조하는 단계를 포함하는 산화망간/탄소 복합체의 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 산화망간/탄소 복합체의 제조방법은 탄소를 망간산화물과 단순히 혼합하지 않고, 과망간산칼륨 용액에 같이 넣어 환원시켜 제조함으로써 탄소와 망간산화물의 결합력과 분산도를 높인다. 상기 제조방법으로 제조된 산화망간/탄소 복합체은 단순히 산화망간과 탄소를 혼합한 촉매에 비해 리튬/공기 이차전지의 공기극으로서의 촉매성능이 향상되므로 리튬/공기 이차 전지의 전극재료로서 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
