The present invention relates to a feed additive composition for reducing methane production which is generated in the ruminant stomachs of ruminants. More particularly, the present invention relates to a feed additive composition for reducing methane production, the composition comprising one or more ingredient(s) selected from the group consisting of alliin and berberine. Even more particularly, the present invention relates to a feed additive composition for reducing methane production, the composition further comprising one or more ingredient (s) selected from the group consisting of diallyl disulfide (DADS), nitrate and eucalyptus oil. The feed additive composition according to the present invention may be added to the feed without additional treatment processing, thereby reducing the amount of produced methane in the ruminant stomach without adverse effects on livestock productivity. Thus, the feed additive composition can be usefully applied to the ruminant industry.
