A ranging system and a camera have fields of view arranged to overlap to survey a common volume. Range data and camera data are fused to identify or correlate data representing one or more moving objects within the common volume. The ranging system may be LIDAR and the object may be a person or sports athlete. Attribute data, such as the moving object’s position or velocity, may be obtained using the correlated data. Image or video data may be extracted from the camera data and may relate to the moving object. The ranging and camera data may be aligned by transformation into a common reference frame, perhaps using reference axes for each system with a predetermined relationship. Ranging data associated with a path of the moving object may be grouped together and associated with that object, possibly into tracklets generated using a wavelet processor if the ranging system is LIDAR.

A set of rules is used by a processor of a device to render a digital image of handwriting (e.g., handwritten signature) by connecting data points captured on a touch sensitive surface of the device with line segments or curves. A set of rules determines whether two given data points will be connected by a line segment or a curve. If a curve is used, the set of rules determine characteristics of the curve through the derivation of control points. In some implementations, a smoothness adjustment factor can be applied to magnitudes of curve control points to reduce excessive smoothing for large distances between data points and maintain acceptable smoothing for short distances between data points. The magnitude can then be adjusted by multiplying by a constant factor which can be determined (e.g., heuristically) from the processing speed and resolution of the device upon which the curve is being rendered.

The method further includes removing the separation device that extends between the flow control sub-assembly and the wear sub-assembly. At least a portion of the wear sub-assembly is replaced by positioning the replacement portion of the wear sub-assembly over the flow control sub-assembly and coupling the replacement portion of the wear sub-assembly to the main structural member. Example methods and mechanisms are described herein for implementing and adiabatically operating a topological quantum computing (TQC) phase gate that complements the existing Clifford operations, and thereby allows universal quantum computation with Majorana systems. Further embodiments include a testing system for the phase gate that is feasible with Majorana zero modes and demonstrates violations of the CHSH-Bell inequality. Further, the design used for the testing of the inequality leads directly to a practical platform for performing universal TQC with Majorana wires in which explicit braiding need never occur. Thus, certain embodiments of the disclosed technology involve three synergistically connected aspects of anyonic TQC (in the context of the currently active area of using MZMs for topological quantum computation): a practical phase gate for universal topological quantum computation using MZMs, a precise protocol (using CHSH inequality) for testing that the desired gate operation has been achieved, and bypassing the necessity of MZM braiding (and so avoiding, e.g., problems of nonadiabaticity in the braids).
