INCREASING DATA ACCESS PERFORMANCE

Номер: US20120054437A1
Принадлежит:

Techniques are described for increasing data access performance for a memory device. In various embodiments, a scheduler/controller is configured to manage data as it read to or written from a memory. Read access is increased by partitioning a memory into a group of sub-blocks, associating a parity block with the sub-blocks, and accessing the sub-blocks to read data as needed. Write speeds may be improved by adding a pending write buffer to a group of memory sub-blocks. Such a buffer may be sized to be equal to the group of memory sub-blocks. The pending write buffer is used to handle collisions for write accesses to the same block, allowing two simultaneous writes to any regular memory block to occur. Additionally, a set-associative memory block may be used to improve write speed. 1. A method for performing multiple write operations in parallel , comprising:during a first read/write cycle, performing a first write operation by writing data to a first memory address in a first block of addresses, wherein the first block is one of a plurality of blocks; andin parallel to the first write operation, performing a second write operation by writing data for a second memory address in the first block of addresses to a pending write queue/cache.2. POLYCONDENSATION OF LACTIC ACID FOR MEDICAL BIODEGRADABLE POLYLACTIC ACID CATALYZED BY CREATININE

Номер: US20130116400A1
Принадлежит: NANJING UNIVERSITY

The present invention provides a direct polycondensation method for medical biodegradable polylactic acid (PLA) using creatinine catalyzed lactic acid. The invention uses commercialized creatinine (a type of biomaterial organic guanidine compounds—the arginine metabolite creatinine (CR) in human body) as the catalyst and industrial lactic acid (LA, mass content 85-90%, aqueous solution) as the monomer to synthesize the high biosafety of medical PLA in terms of second polycondensation without solvent (identity). Instead of tin catalysts having cytotoxicity, the catalyst used in the invention has high biocompatibility and biosafety. The synthesized PLA does not contain any metal and other toxic components; therefore, it can be used as the carrier for targeting drugs and controlled release drugs. In addition, the green catalyst and green processing method (no solvent applied and no toxic products produced) are used in the invention to synthesize the green biodegradable PLA with high biosafety. The polymerization reaction is simple and the raw materials required are low in costs, thus it is easy for industrialization. Further, the molecular weight distribution for all synthesized products is narrow and the molecular weight is controllable within 1.5-3.0×10. 13-. (canceled)4.
