Increase propane dehydrogenation activity of a partially deactivated dehydrogenation catalyst by heating the partially deactivated catalyst to a temperature of at least C, conditioning the heated catalyst in an oxygen-containing atmosphere and, optionally, stripping molecular oxygen from the conditioned catalyst. 2. (Canceled)3. The process of claim 1 , wherein the oxygen-containing atmosphere has an oxygen content within a range of from 5 mole percent to 100 mole percent claim 1 , each mole percent being based upon total moles of oxygen-containing atmosphere.4. The process of claim 1 , wherein the period of time in step b is within a range of from at least three minutes to no more than 14 minutes.5. The process of claims 1 , wherein the temperature for step b lies within a range of from 660 degrees Celsius to 850 degrees Celsius.6. The process of claim 1 , wherein the Group VIII noble metal is platinum claim 1 , and the Group IIIA metal is gallium.7. The process of claim 1 , wherein one or more of steps a) claim 1 , b) and c) are physically separated from one another.8. The process of claim 7 , wherein steps b) and c) are physically separated from one another and an oxygen-containing atmosphere with an oxygen content within a range of from 5 mole percent to 100 mole percent claim 7 , each mole percent being based upon total moles of oxygen-containing atmosphere claim 7 , is used to effect catalyst transfer between steps b) and c). This application is a non-provisional application claiming priority from the U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 61/507,227, filed on Jul. 13, 2011, entitled “REACTIVATING PROPANE DEHYDROGENATION CATALYST” the teachings of which are incorporated by reference herein, as if reproduced in full hereinbelow. This invention relates generally to a process for at least partially restoring alkane dehydrogenation activity, especially propane dehydrogenation (PDH) activity, of a partially deactivated dehydrogenation catalyst. This invention ...
