The present invention provides for a method and apparatus for bending multiple sheet of thin glass at the same time on a single set of molds. Multiple sheets of thin glass are stacked onto a full surface female mold. A partial surface male mold is placed onto the thin glass stack. The invention concerns a laminated glazing with a holographic optical element and a method for manufacturing such glazing. An unrecorded holographic film is assembled using polycarbonate substrates. The film is sandwiched between thermoplastic polyurethane bonding layers which have very good adhesion to polycarbonate. One of the two provided bonding layers is very thin and serves to bond the holographic optical film to the glass preventing wrinkles from forming. Lighting is controlled through assembly and lamination so as to prevent exposure of the photo-sensitive polymer. The laminate is assembled and then laminated by means of heat, pressure, and vacuum. After lamination, information is recorded on the holographic film forming the holographic optical element with superior optical quality.
