A collapsible, reusable bulk material container assembly, kit and method for assembling and using same are disclosed. Upper ring and base members are locked together by peripheral post members, forming an upright rigid framework that operatively supports a woven fabric bulk material receiving bag. Intermediate support bands may be attached to and along the post members to resist outwardly directed forces applied to the bag by contained bulk material. The cable may be tensioned by use of the tensioner and secured into position within the connector. The connector may include a locking portion for engaging a protrusion formed on the pin. The engagement of the protrusion with the locking portion preferably inhibits rotation of the pin.

A monomeric bis (benzil) composition is produced by reacting furfural with an aromatic dialdehyde, the product having the structure: ##STR1## wherein R is a difunctional aromatic radical, R' is a hydrogen, a phenylene, or a furan radical, and R" is a hydrogen or or an alkyl substituent. These monomers are used to prepare cross-linked polyquinoxaline resins which have enhanced thermal and mechanical properties. Polymerization of these bis(benzil) monomers occurs by the reaction of the carbonyl groups with a tetraamine monomer. Cross-linking of the resulting polymers chains is accomplished by reaction of the furan end-cap group in a Diels-Alder reaction with a bis(dieneophile) substantially aromatic in composition.

The polyquinoxaline polymers have an alicyclic endooxy linkage repeated throughout the polymer at the cross-linking sites where the furan end-capped constituent undergoes a Diels-Alder reaction with the aromatic olefinic endcapped crosslinking agent. Subsequently, the alicyclic endooxy linkage may be aromatized by the application of heat to produce a high performance polymer which is suitable for use in severe environments at temperatures up to 400*C.
