The invention provides for the use of an improved xenograft bone particulate with respect to osteo-integration and bone remodeling, while diminishing the primate-to-pig immunological response using established bone-processing technique. Work was carried out using undecalcified bone to determine immunocompatibilty and bone remodeling potential of processed porcine bone struts following onlay graft implantation. New bone formation was evident, including the infiltration of cellular materials responsible for fusion and bone reconstruction.

A method of implanting a prosthesis relative to a carpal complex of a wrist comprising:providing a carpal implant having a body and including a bone abutment surface and at least one flange extending from the bone abutment surface;resurfacing at least portions of identified bones of the carpal complex including at least one of a scaphoid, lunate and triquetrum;locating the bone abutment surface of the carpal implant against the resurfaced portions of the identified bones;locating a first flange of the at least one flange against the carpal complex;advancing a first bone screw through a first aperture in the body into one of the identified bones;advancing a second bone screw through a second aperture in the first flange and into a first bone of the identified bones; andadvancing a third bone screw through a third aperture in the first flange and into a second bone of the identified bones, the second bone being distinct from the first bone.2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:bending at least one flange extending from an ulnar and radial portion of the body relative to a remainder of the body to a position against a medial or lateral face of the identified bones.3. The method includes: coupling a flexible member to the first bone and the second bone, the flexible member extending past a first area of the interosseous membrane between the first bone and the second bone; and orienting the flexible member such that the flexible member extends generally parallel to fibers of the first area of the interosseous membrane. 1. A method for repairing a defect in an interosseous membrane located between a first bone and a second bone comprising:coupling a flexible member to the first bone and the second bone, the flexible member extending past a first area of the interosseous membrane between the first bone and the second bone; andorienting the flexible member such that the flexible member extends generally parallel to fibers of the first area of the interosseous membrane.2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first bone is a radius and the second bone is an ulna claim 1 , and the flexible member extends through the interosseous membrane.3. If the phone number is in the table, then it is associated with an action, and the user's phone performs that action at a time specified by instructions for such action. No. 62/038,526, filed by Stone on Aug. 18, 2014, entitled “Method and Apparatus for Collimating Light from a Laser-Excited Phosphor Element,” commonly owned with this application and incorporated herein by reference.This application is directed, in general, to lighting sources and, more specifically, to lighting sources employing laser-excited phosphor elements.Increasing demand for more efficient lighting sources has led many industries away from incandescent, arc and induction light sources and into solid state lighting. Solid state lighting has primarily been represented by light emitting diodes due to their long duty cycles and high rate of conversion of electrical energy into light (at about 80% efficiency). LED light sources are not, however, without their drawbacks. First, LEDs are very narrow-band emitters, typically covering a band of some 10 nm at half height of the output curve. This makes emission of full spectrum white light from an LED-only illuminator highly impractical, as doing so would require tens of different-wavelength emitters. Consequently, lighting manufacturers have used combinations of LEDs and phosphors that are excited by the center wavelength of a given color LED to approximate white light. This approach also has its drawbacks, in that the spectral output profile is characterized by a spike at the LED's emission band followed by a broad band of relatively low emission at a lower frequency, then a broad but lower amplitude band (as compared with the LED output) from the secondary phosphor emission, typically representing ¼ to ⅓ of the visible spectrum, which then trails off to near zero emission at the lower visible frequencies, resulting in an approximate “white light” output that is deficient in the green and red bands. A reamer assembly, comprising a modular drill tip having a cutting edge proximate a first end, a pair of flexible arms extending from and proximate to a second end and a first through-hole positioned between the first and second ends along a longitudinal axis, wherein the first through-hole is configured to receive a guide wire during a reaming process; and a reamer shaft having a receiving end that is configured to receive and releasably hold in axial alignment thereto the pair of flexible arms, the reamer shaft having a second through-hole that is configured to receive the guide wire during the reaming process, wherein the first and second through-holes together create a common through-hole that is positioned along the longitudinal axis. 1. A reamer assembly , comprising:a modular drill tip having a cutting edge proximate a first end, a pair of flexible arms extending from and proximate to a second end and a first through-hole positioned between the first and second ends along a longitudinal axis, wherein the first through-hole is configured to receive a guide wire during a reaming process; anda reamer shaft having a receiving end that is configured to receive, and releasably engage in axial alignment thereto, the pair of flexible arms, the reamer shaft having a second through-hole that is configured to receive the guide wire during the reaming process, wherein the first and second through-holes together create a common through-hole that is positioned along the longitudinal axis.2. The reamer assembly of claim 1 , wherein the receiving end of the reamer shaft includes a pair of outer walls that extend upwardly from a base portion positioned substantially adjacent to the second through-hole.3.
