Disclosed is a method for producing a high-purity nanometer zinc oxide from electrolytic zinc acid leaching residues by ammonia decarburization. The method comprises: adding 0.3-0.5 kg of sodium fluorosilicate to per cubic meter of ammonia water-ammonium bicarbonate solution when leaching, and then adding 30-60 kg of slaked lime to per cubic meter of a leached solution for carrying out decarburization and refining treatment. The present invention obtained nanometer zinc oxide powder has purity of 99.7% or up, uniform particle size distribution (average particle size of 10-30 nm), specific surface area of 105 m/g or up, good fluidity and good dispersity. The treatment method is characterized by low energy consumption and high efficiency; all valuable and harmful heavy metals in the electrolytic zinc acid leaching residues are leached out to be reasonably utilized and cleaned with water, so that the obtained final leached residues are converted from electrolytic zinc acid leaching residues as high hazard wastes into ordinary solid wastes. It obtained good economic benefit and social benefit. 1. Zeolite membrane sheets for separation of mixtures containing water are provided, as well as methods for making the same. Thin, but robust, zeolite membrane sheets having an inter-grown zeolite crystal film directly on a thin, less than 200 micron thick, porous support sheet free of any surface pores with a size above 10 microns. Described herein are catalyst systems and methods of treating emissions that can passively heat aftertreatment catalysts. Also described herein are methods of making such catalyst systems. Aftertreatment catalyst systems can include a catalyst support structure having a surface region on which a criteria-pollutant-treating catalyst and a sorbent exist. Non-limiting examples of sorbents can include those based on MgO, MgO—NaCO 3 double salts, or dolomite. The sorbent can include a eutectic promotor that facilitates exothermic CO 2 adsorption from the exhaust to the sorbent at a first temperature below the light-off temperature of the catalyst. Heat from formation of an exotherm between CO 2 and components of the sorbent is passively transferred to the criteria-pollutant-treating catalyst to increase the surface-region (i.e., catalyst bed) temperature to a value greater than or equal to the light-off temperature, thereby lowering the apparent light-off temperature.

The carbonation reaction involves reaction of the carbon dioxide produced from the hydrogen formation reaction with metal oxide-based sorbents. The reactor apparatus can be periodically regenerated by regeneration of the sorbent. A carbon dioxide sorbent system comprising a solid sorbent and a eutectic, mixed alkali metal molten phase is also described.
