The preparation method of the catalyst is as follows: after cobalt acetate is dissolved in water, ethylenediamine is added to form the mixed solution of cobaltous ethylenediamine, finally ammonium molybdate is added to made a co-impregnating solution containing cobalt and molybdenum metals, and after a pourous carrier is impregnated with this solution, the carrier is roasted under non-oxygen or slight-oxygen atmosphere to obtain the product. This method features simple equipment, and short preparation period thus assuring the activity of the catalyst. The hydrogenating-and-desulphurizing activity is much higher than that of the same kind catalyst produced by UOP company.
