The invention discloses a catalyst for fixed bed hydrogenation for continuous production of fatty alcohol. In the catalyst, copper and zinc are used as active components, one or more of manganese, barium or zirconium are used as a cocatalyst, and silicon and aluminum are taken as a structural promoter. Measuring by oxides, the content of the active components is 40 to 95 percent by mass; the content of the cocatalyst is 1 to 30 percent by mass; and the content of the structure promoter is 0.01 to 50 percent by mass. The catalyst has the advantages of environmentally friendliness, high activity, high selectivity, long service life and capability of catalyzing the fixed bed hydrogenation under a relatively low pressure for producing the fatty alcohol.
