The present invention relates to a printing paste composition comprising a printing paste solvent of which the slow drying property and the swelling property are optimally controlled to obtain a printed pattern having excellent printability, and an electrode prepared therefrom. According to one embodiment of the present invention, provided is a printing paste composition which comprises 50-90 parts by weight of metal particles, 2-20 parts by weight of binder resin, 2-50 parts by weight of a solvent having a boiling point of 250 or higher and a swelling property (SP) of 5 or less, and 0.1-10 parts by weight of a glass frit; and a display panel electrode made with the printing paste composition. Due to the high boiling point and low swelling property of the solvent used in the composition of the present invention, the air drying of a solvent and the swelling of a blanket by a solvent in a cliché are inhibited in offset printing. Therefore, the printing paste composition containing the solvent shows excellent printability regardless of a plurality of repeated printing processes. That is, the linearity and clarity of a printed pattern are excellent, and a printed pattern is obtained, wherein the line height does not decrease, line width variation is small, and sheet resistance is constant.
