The three-dimensional imaging method in the widefield polar format for the circular synthetic aperture radar removes a migration term of a secondary range cell through twice correction of secondary filtration of an azimuth frequency domain and the space variant filtration of an image domain based on the conventional polar format imaging method, and has more accurate three-dimensional imaging for a wider field compared with the traditional polar format imaging ...

Remote storage gateway shadow or cache configuration

Номер: US0010992521B2

A storage gateway serves as an interface between processes on a customer network and a service provider. The storage gateway is located on-premise with the customer processes. To customer processes, it appears that data is stored locally. However, the storage gateway interfaces with a remote storage service to store the data. For cached gateways, the primary data store is a remote data store, while frequently accessed data may be locally cached by the gateway. Reads may be satisfied from the local cache or from virtual data storage; writes are handled so as to appropriately update data blocks in the local cache and/or in virtual data storage. For shadowing gateways, the primary data store is the local data store; reads are passed through to a local data store, and writes are shadowed to virtual data storage as well as being sent to local data store.

Truth on client persistent caching

Номер: US0007441011B2

The present invention provides a novel client side caching (CSC) infrastructure that supports transition states at the directory level to facilitate a seamless operation across connectivity states between client and remote server. More specifically, persistent caching is performed to safeguard the user (e.g., client) and/or the client applications across connectivity interruptions and/or bandwidth changes. This is accomplished in part by caching to a client data store the desirable file(s) together with the appropriate file access parameters. Moreover, the client maintains access to cached files during periods of disconnect. Furthermore, portions of a path can be offline while other portions upstream can remain online. CSC operates on the logical path which cooperates with DFS which operates on the physical path to keep track of files cached, accessed and changes in the directories. In addition, truth on the client is facilitated whether or not a conflict of file copies exists.

Selective file purging for delete or rename

Номер: US0006889233B2

A method of purging cached open files from a client-side delayed close list on a remote file system. The remote file system stores a unique file identifier for each cached open file which is independent of the cached file's namespace. In response to a delete or rename command of a remote target file, the remote file system obtains a target file identifier from the target file's server. The remote file system then compares the target file identifier with each of the cached file's unique file identifier. If a cached file's unique file identifier matches the target file identifier, the cached file is purged from the delayed close list.

Mesoporous silica nanoparticle-mediated delivery of dna into arabidopsis root

Номер: US20130185823A1
Принадлежит: Academia Sinica

Transient gene expression is a powerful tool for plant genomics studies. Recently, the use of nanomaterials has drawn great interest. Delivery with mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) has many advantages. We used surface-functionalized MSNs to deliver and express foreign DNA in Arabidopsis thaliana root cells without the aid of particle bombardment. Gene expression was detected in the epidermis layer and in the more inner cortex and endodermis root tissues. This method is superior to the conventional gene-gun method to deliver DNA, which delivers the gene to the epidermis layer only. Less DNA is needed for the MSN method. Our system is the first use of nanoparticles to deliver DNA to plants with good efficiency and without external aids. MSNs, with multifunctionality and the capability of cargo delivery to plant cells as we demonstrated, provide a versatile system for biomolecule delivery, organelle targeting, and even agriculture, such as improved nutrient uptake.
