A separator plate is disclosed. The separator plate may include a plate-like ring including an inner diameter, an outer diameter, and a thickness. The separator plate further includes a generally smooth surface disposed on opposing sides of the plate-like ring spaced apart by the thickness and a plurality of apertures extending from the inner diameter to the outer diameter within the thickness of the ring. The cross-section of each of the plurality of apertures remains generally consistent in cross-sectional are along the extent from the inner diameter to the outer diameter. 1. A separator plate for a brake assembly , comprising:a plate-like ring including an inner diameter, an outer diameter, a thickness, a generally smooth surface disposed on opposing sides of the plate-like ring spaced apart by the thickness, and a plurality of apertures extending from the inner diameter to the outer diameter within the thickness of the ring,wherein a cross-section of each of the plurality of apertures remains generally consistent in cross-sectional area along the extent from the inner diameter to the outer diameter.3. The separator plate of claim 1 , wherein the number of apertures is about 40 to about 80.4. The separator plate of claim 3 , wherein the number of apertures is about 50 to 70.5. The separator plate of claim 4 , wherein the number of apertures is 60.6. The separator plate of claim 1 , wherein each aperture has a cross sectional area of about 15 mmto about 30 mm.7. The separator plate of claim 1 , wherein each aperture has a circular cross-section.8. A brake hub is disclosed. The brake hub may include a cylindrical body portion, and a rim extending from an outer edge of the cylindrical body portion. The rim may include a plurality of first splines disposed on an outer annular surface of the rim. Each of the plurality of first splines may extend from a first end of the rim to a second end of the rim. The rim may also include a plurality of radial apertures in the rim extending from the first end of the rim toward the second end of the rim, and a plurality of second splines disposed on the outer annular surface of the rim. Each of the plurality of second splines may extend from an edge of one of the plurality of radial apertures to the second end of the rim. The brake hub may also include a mounting flange protruding from the cylindrical body portion. 1. A brake hub , comprising:a cylindrical body portion; a plurality of first splines disposed on an outer annular surface of the rim, each of the plurality of first splines extending from a first end of the rim to a second end of the rim;', 'a plurality of radial apertures in the rim extending from the first end of the rim toward the second end of the rim; and', 'a plurality of second splines disposed on the outer annular surface of the rim, each of the plurality of second splines extending from an edge of one of the plurality of radial apertures to the second end of the rim; and, 'a rim extending from an outer edge of the cylindrical body portion, the rim havinga mounting flange protruding from the cylindrical body portion.2.
