Embodiments of the invention provide methods and systems for performing a payment transaction. A method for performing a payment transaction may include receiving purchase information from a merchant and associating the purchase information with an identifier. The method may also include transmitting the identifier to the merchant and receiving the identifier from a wireless device of a customer. The wireless device may obtain the identifier by receiving a code from a merchant device and by interpreting the code. The method may additionally include associating the identifier with the purchasing information, determining a payment account associated with the customer, transmitting a request to a payment service provider system to provide funds for the payment transaction, and receiving an authorization from the payment service provider system to provide the funds. The method may additionally include transmitting a confirmation of the authorization to the merchant.

First and second motors are provided for moving a workpiece support in an up and down direction and and for rotation about an axis. Third, fourth and fifth motors are provided for moving a rotating cutter in a lateral direction, for rotating the cutter about an axis, and for moving the cutter toward and away from a workpiece. A first conductive pin sensor senses workpiece parameters. A cutter motor rotates the cutter at constant speed, and a second sensor senses changes in cutter motor torque when the cutter comes into contact with a workpiece. A computer includes a memory for storing instructions for cutting a desired pattern, and the computer causes the first, second, third, fourth and fifth motors to vary the relative position of the cutter and workpiece support to cut a pattern in the workpiece.

Abstract of the Disclosure TEMPERATURE CONTROL AND ANALYSIS SYSTEM FOR HYPERTHERMIA TREATMENT A system for controlling a hyperthermia treatment device having energy applicators for heating a portion of a patient's body to attain a predetermined temperature protocol for therapeutic treatment of patient tumors. The system monitors energy application and displays a video presentation of correlative temperature data to an operator who responds by adjusting the energy application to achieve the desired treatment protocol. The system further accumlated a hyperthermia treatment date base, and predetermined temperature protocols for the patient are prepared by comparison with data base protocols for similar tumor conditions. Various figures of merit are also determined and stored in the data base and ongoing treatments are compared with the data base to characterize the most effective treatment protocol.

Radiometric systems may comprise a radiometer, an antenna and a processor communicatively coupled together. The processor may provide a contact-focused output based on filtering or other processing of a raw radiometric output signal. The contact-focused output may facilitate determination of whether contact has been achieved and/or assessment of contact. A miniaturized reflectometer may be configured to determine an amount of reflected power from the antenna. The processor may be configured to determine a reflection coefficient of the reflected power determined by the reflectometer and to identify tissue type based on the reflection coefficient. Systems and methods for facilitating deeper temperature measurements of a radiometer are described.

The system monitors the energy application and presents a screen image (34) of the temperature correlation data to an operator who reacts by adjusting the energy application to achieve the desired processing protocol. The system further includes a database (20, 22) for treatment of hyperthermia, and predetermined temperature protocols are prepared for each patient by comparison with protocols stored in the database for similar tumor conditions. Different quality coefficients are also determined and recorded in the database, and the treatments in progress are compared with the database in order to determine the most effective treatment protocol.

Systems and methods for transferring funds using a wireless device

According to one embodiment, a method for performing a money withdrawal transaction includes transmitting a transaction identifier for use by an ATM. The method also includes receiving the transaction identifier from a mobile device of a user, where the mobile device obtains the transaction identifier by capturing machine readable code from the ATM. The method further includes receiving a withdrawal amount from the mobile device along with an identification of an account for use in the withdrawal transaction. The method additionally includes transmitting withdrawal information to a payment service provider to effectuate authorization of a withdrawal of funds from the ATM in an amount equal to the withdrawal amount. The withdrawal information is transmitted from the payment service provider to the ATM and subsequently received therefrom along with a PIN that is input by the user into the ATM. This process mimics existing withdrawal transaction processes of the ATM.
