A process for manufacturing a water soluble product comprising the steps of:providing a water soluble fibrous first ply;providing a water soluble fibrous second ply formed on a surface other than said first ply, wherein said second ply is separate from said first ply;superposing said first ply and said second ply; andjoining a first portion of said first ply to a second portion of said second ply to form said water soluble product;wherein said first ply has a first ply belt side and a first ply air side opposite said first ply belt side;wherein said second ply has a second ply belt side and a second ply air side opposite said second ply belt side; andwherein said process further comprises a step of positioning said first ply belt side and said second ply belt side to face away from one another prior to joining said first ply and said second ply.2. The process according to further comprising the steps of:providing said first ply as part of a first continuous ply web;providing said second ply as part of a second continuous ply web; andcutting said first continuous ply web and second continuous ply web after the step of superposing said first ply and said second ply to form said water soluble product.3. A rapid-entry shoe allows the shoe to be rapidly entered and readied for wearing by the user. The shoe may be any of a wide variety of shoe types, including shoes of a wide variety of styles and functions. The rapid entry features of the shoes utilize various movable elements that are attached to a sole portion or other portion of the shoe and allow movement of a portion of the shoe under pressure to allow rapid entry of the user's foot into the shoe. The moveable elements may include flexible elements, elements having constructed to have a memory of a native position, magnetic elements, and/or elastic elements 1. A rapid-entry shoe comprising:a sole support having an upper surface configured to support a user's foot;an upper coupled to the sole support, the upper defining an opening adapted to receive entry of the user's foot; anda rear portion of the upper configured to secure a heel of the user's foot;wherein the rear portion comprises a deformable element, the deformable element extending around the heel of the user's foot and forming a first torsion spring and a second torsion spring;wherein each of the first torsion spring and the second torsion spring is dispersed around a periphery of the sole support;wherein the deformable element is configured to have a native position in which the deformable element holds the rear portion in a closed position securing the heel of the user's foot; andwherein the deformable element is configured to be deformed by an opening force to expand the opening to permit rapid entry of the user's foot.2. A water treatment apparatus for the treatment of waste water (2), including sewage material, is provided on a marine vessel for example a cruise ship. The apparatus comprises a filter (10) in the form of an submerged flat panel membrane bio-reactor unit or MBR (11) having an average effective pore size of less than 0.1 micron (100 nanometres) and an ionisation unit (12) including electrodes (48, 50), the unit (12) acting as a source of metal ions. The electrodes (48, 50) are formed from an alloy of silver, copper and zinc. In use, waste water (2) flows through the filter (10) and then the ionisation unit (12), so that the waste water is filtered and then infused with metal ions. The concentration of ions in the effluent water is at a concentration effective to disinfect the waste water (2) and provide a residual disinfecting action, the metal ions providing biocidal and/or fungicidal effects. The apparatus may be retro-fitted to a ship by means of a conversion kit.

A protective pad for a joint surface of a wearer's limb during athletic activity such as skating and skateboarding has a cushioning element and a shielding element mounted thereto. The cushioning element has a body with a first surface to overlie the joint surface and an opposite second surface. The shielding element has a primary wall forming a domed central region surrounded by a peripheral flange engaged upon the second surface of the cushioning body. In the central region, the primary wall defines an outer, obstruction-engaging surface and an inner wall surface. The shielding element also has a plurality of interengaged support wall segments extending from the inner wall surface toward, but spaced from engagement with, the second surface of the cushioning body. The shielding and cushioning elements, in a central region of the cushioning body bounded by the peripheral flange and overlying the joint surface, together define, at rest, a cavity between the support wall segments and the second surface of the cushioning body. The shielding element is relatively more resistant to flexing than the cushioning element, and upon application of a force to the obstruction-engaging surface of the protective pad overlying the joint surface to be protected, the shielding element resists flexing as the cushioning element flexes to permit penetration of the joint surface into the cavity, thus to absorb force and protect the joint surface.

The insulating cover, which is of integral, one-piece construction, and may be made of polyurethane, is formed within a mold during construction of the load insulator by leaving a void within the mold around the opposite metal lugs and the body before introducing plastic into the mold, to form the insulating cover. Covering each of the opposite metal lugs as well as the body with the insulating cover forces high voltage-produced currents through the inside of the load insulator by preventing current creep around and flashing over the outside of the insulator body. The integral, one-piece construction of the insulating cover prevents rain water and other moisture from seeping into the inside of the load insulator. The outer surface the body is provided with plural ribs or sheds, at least some of which are substantially larger than and protrude further out than intervening ribs of smaller size to prevent rain water and dirt from forming a continuous current path over the outer surface of the body.

A terminal and a method for making a terminal that includes a connector end and a terminal barrel, preferably formed from a sheet of metal. The terminal barrel includes a cylindrical wall having a first section corresponding to a first end and a second section corresponding to a second end.
