The viscosity controlling agent according to claim 1 , wherein the ratio of the polyalkylene oxide in the viscosity controlling agent is 30 to 99.99% by mass.3. The viscosity controlling agent according to claim 1 , wherein the mass of the tablet is 0.2 g or more.4. The viscosity controlling agent according to claim 1 , wherein the polyalkylene oxide has a viscosity of 20 to 1 claim 1 ,500 mPa·s in the form of a 0.5 mass % aqueous solution at 25° C. claim 1 , or a viscosity of 50 to 80 claim 1 ,000 mPa·s in the form of a 5 mass % aqueous solution at 25° C.5. The drag reducer according to claim 1 , wherein the polyalkylene oxide has a viscosity average molecular weight of 100000 to 10000000.3. The drag reducer according to claim 1 , wherein the polyalkylene oxide comprises at least one member selected from the group consisting of polyethylene oxides and ethylene oxide-propylene oxide copolymers.4. The drag reducer according to claim 1 , wherein the electrolyte comprises at least one member selected from the group consisting of ammonium sulfate and ammonium phosphate.5. The dispersion provides a coating film having an improved electrical conductivity in an electrographic material, or when included in paper it simultaneously improves degree of sizing and wet strength thereof.

A method for roughening a ceramic substrate surface includes a step of sequentially taking out part of roughening a treatment bath of phosphoric acid into which the ceramic substrate is dipped prior to a formation on the substrate of conductor a layer, and subjecting the part of the bath taken out sequentially to regeneration treatment. Any increase in the viscosity due to dehydrating condensation of the roughening bath can be thereby effectively restrained to prolong effective life of the bath. Further, the surface roughened ceramic substrate can be provided thereon with conductor layers smoothly formed by means of a plating and eventually with a circuit pattern as well as a resistor formed on the pattern within an inert gas atmosphere.

An overload switch has a conductive heat generating component between two connection terminals, a trigger actuated by a switch-off signal, an expandable elastic element which can force the heat generating component from between the terminals, a container containing the heat generating component, the trigger and the elastic element, and a holder which holds the elastic element in the compressed state and which is located at least partially within the container. When the heat generating component is located between the terminals and the holder holds the elastic element in the compressed state, conduction between the terminals is maintained, but when the trigger is actuated and the heat generating component produces heat, the holder releases the elastic element to force the heat generating component from between the terminals, thus interrupting conduction between the terminals. Preferred Features: The heat generating component contains an exothermic medium comprising a metal powder, selected from B, Si, Fe, Si, Zr, Ti and Al, and a metal oxide, selected from CuO, MnO2, Pb3O4, PbO2, Fe3O4, Fe2O3 and Cr2O3.

A laminate comprising a soft polyolefin resin layer, an ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester-maleic anhydride terpolymer resin layer, and a soft urethane foam resin layer is disclosed. The laminate is produced by a process comprising co-extruding a soft polyolefin resin and an ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester-maleic anhydride terpolymer resin to prepare a two-layer sheet and continuously laminating a soft urethane foam fabricated in a stratiform state on the ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester-maleic anhydride terpolymer resin layer by hot pressing. The laminate has a satisfactory appearance, toughness, a soft touch, and a cushioning effect.

An impact-resistant polyamide resin is produced by preparing Mixture (I) by melt-kneading (A) a polyamide resin with (B) at least one modified olefin polymer,which is an olefin rubber having an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid an­hydride added thereto, an α-olefin polymer having an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride added thereto, a crystalline ethylene-α-olefin copolymer having an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride added thereto, or an ethylene-ethylenic unsaturated ester copolymers having an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride added thereto, preparing Mixture (II) by melt-kneading Mixture (I) with (C) a polyfunctional compound having in the molecule two or more functional groups reactive with carboxyl groups,carboxylic acid anhydride groups or amino groups and melt-kneading Mixture (II) with (D) a polyamide resin. The impact-resistant polyamide resin composition obtained by the process of the present invention has an excellent processability and can be made into various molded products, sheets or films by injection molding or extrusion molding. The thus obtained products have good physical properties, in particular, an excellent impact strength.

The resolution converting section enlarges or reduces a binary picture which represents the shape of an object. The encoding section encodes a binary picture reduced by the resolution converting section. The reduction ratio used by the resolution converting section is encoded, and the transmitting section transmits this encoded reduction ratio along with encoded data on the binary picture. The amount of encoded data produced from the encoding section is controlled by changing the enlargement/reduction ratio used by the resolution converting section.
