The surfcraft fin assembly of wherein the flexible portion is biased away from the fin such that during insertion it flexes towards the fin to allow insertion and once pressed past the lug springs away from the fin and under the lug to retain the fin in the mounting box.3. The surfcraft fin assembly of further comprising a lever which can be used to prise the flexible portion of the fin base away from the lug to remove the fin from the mounting box.4. For rail vehicles featuring dynamic braking equipment another step involves commanding the dynamic braking equipment to reduce the dynamic braking force being applied to the wheel/axle combinations of the truck in response to the percentage carried by the truck reduction priority signal. Still another step involves commanding the friction braking equipment to apply an appropriate amount of friction braking force to the wheel/axle combinations of the truck so as to resolve the slip experienced thereby. The appropriate amount of friction braking force represents the sum of the total braking force sought to be applied to the wheel/axle combinations of the truck less first a product of the total braking force and the percentage carried by the truck reduction priority signal and less second the dynamic braking force being applied to the wheel/axle combinations of the truck.

A port ( 100 ) for a catheter assembly ( 200 ), including a body ( 102 ) and a cover ( 150 ) and having a distal discharge port ( 116 ) for connection to an implanted catheter assembly. Within the body is a longitudinal U-shaped channel ( 120 ) extending to a proximal body wall ( 104 ) from the distal body wall ( 106 ) along a longitudinal axis parallel to the axis of the discharge port ( 116 ). The channel has a rounded bottom ( 122 ) and is also rounded at the channel ends ( 126,124 ) at the distal and proximal body walls. The cover ( 150 ) provides for penetration by a syringe needle and seals upon needle withdrawal, with the cover having an inside surface ( 152 ) concave and rounded between the distal and proximal ends and also longitudinally, being generally smoothed into the channel sides and ends. The port has no inner sharp edges or corners and eliminates blood clotting and unwanted growth sites.

An inflatable gastric band incorporates a fluid channel within an outer surface of the band and an inflatable bladder on a stomach-faeing side of the band. The gastric band attaches to a double lumen catheter, whieh com-municates with a dual infusion port. One lumen communicates with the fluid channel and one port, while the other lumen communicates with the inflatable bladder and a second port. Injection of fluid into one chamber of the infu-sion port expands inflatable bladder, allowing adjustment to the diameter of the stoma. Injection of drugs or therapeutic agents into the second chamber al-lows the infusion of drugs or agents directly into the abdominal cavity of a gas-tric band recipient. The inflatable bladder can be eontinuous or segmented. A segmented bladder reduces pinching and/or folding of the inner surface of the gastric band during expansion/contraction, thereby lessening stomach pinch-ing and/or irritation.

Abstract of the disclosure: Process for ?he preparation of the non-toxic salts of 6-methyl-3,4-dihydro-1,2,3-oxathiazin-4-one 2,2-dioxide The non-toxic salts of 6-methyl-3,4-dihydro-1,2,3-oxa-thiazin-4-one 2,2-dioxide are prepared by cyclizing aceto-acetamide-N-sulfonic acid or its salts with an at least approximately equimolar amount of SO3 in the presence of a water-immiscible, inert organic solvent and, if appropriate, also an inert inorganic solvent, hydrolyzing the 6-methyl-3,4-dihydro-1,2,3-oxathiazin-4-one 2,2-di-oxide obtained in the form of the SO3-adduct after the cyclization reaction, in the event that the amount of SO3 employed is more than equimolar, purifying the organic phase (which has separated out) by extraction with a small volume of water or dilute aqueous sulfuric acid, prefer-ably only with water, and isolating, by neutralization with bases, the non-toxic salts of the 6-methyl-3,4-di-hydro-1,2,3-oxathiazin-4-one 2,2-diox;de from the organic phase thus purified. The said salts are obtained in this process in an extremely pure form; they are valuable synthetic sweetening agents. The potassium salt is known as acesulfam (K).

A training component, a knowledge component, and a collaborative component are interfaced to a distance learning component to form a STEM-based cyber security education system interface on an educational content server. The educational content server is coupled to a content database configured to access STEM-based cyber security educational content associated with one or more of: the training component, the knowledge component, and the collaborative component. Asynchronous delivery of the STEM-based cyber security educational content is provided to an end user computer in response to a user request. An interactive session is established between one or more experts and the end user computer to provide synchronous delivery of STEM-based cyber security materials.
