New and improved variable dual-directional thermal compensator for arrayed waveguide grating (awg) modules

Номер: EP3931610A1
Принадлежит: MOLEX LLC

A thermal compensator, for use in connection with arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) modules which are, in turn, utilized in conjunction with wavelength multiplexing and de-multiplexing within optical networks, is disclosed. The thermal compensator comprises a bow-shaped frame member, a central bar member, and a screw. The bow-shaped frame member is characterized by a higher or great coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) than that of the central bar member such that the bow-shaped frame member can expand and elongate at a greater rate than can the central bar member under hot temperature conditions, however, under cold temperature conditions, the rate of contraction of the bow-shaped member is effectively retarded by the slower rate of contraction of the central bar member. The bow-shaped frame member is adapted to be attached to a movable section of an athermal arrayed waveguide grating (AAWG) module such that the expansion and contraction movements of the bow-shaped member influence the movement of a movable section of the athermal arrayed waveguide grating (AAWG) module in order to maintain the proper focus of the athermal arrayed waveguide grating (AAWG) module across disparate temperature conditions within which the athermal arrayed waveguide grating (AAWG) module is designed to operate.

Use of interferon alpha-inducible protein 6 (ifi6) and medicine

Номер: NL2029972B1

The present disclosure provides use of an interferon alpha-inducible protein 6 (IFI6) and a medicine, specifically use of an IFI6 in a medicine for prevention and/or treatment of a skin cell radiation injury, and a medicine containing the IFI6. Specifically, the present disclosure is achieved by constructing an overeXpression strategy of the IFI6. The overeXpression of the IFI6 has a preventive and therapeutic effect on the skin cell radiation injury of human, and can enhance anti-apoptosis and cell proliferation abilities after radiation. An IFI6 overeXpression lentivirus or a medicine containing the IFI6 overeXpression lentivirus can be used for prevention and treatment of the human skin radiation injury. The lentivirus or the medicine has important significance and value in treatment of nuclear and radiation accidents and nuclear emergencies, and in reducing skin radiation injury of tumor radiotherapy patients.

Use of compound in preparation of medicament for prophylaxis and treatment of inflammatory tissue damage

Номер: GB2620809A

(I) A medicament for the prophylaxis and treatment of inflammatory tissue damage, wherein the medicament comprises a compound of formula (I) and pharmaceutical excipients, is provided. Preferably the tissue damage is caused by excessive inflammatory response activated by interferon regulatory factor 1 (IRF1). Preferably the tissue damage is skin tissue damage, particularly ionizing radiation-induced skin injury, oxidative skin injury, virus-induced skin injury or ionizing radiation-induced lung tissue injury. The medicament may be in the form of an injection, an ointment, or an aerosol. The compound of formula I can inhibit transcriptional activity of interferon regulatory factor 1 (IRF1).

Ceramic powered steel shot magnetic sweeper apparatus

Номер: US20240216927A1
Автор: Brian Weber, Shuyue ZHANG
Принадлежит: Bluestreak Equipment Inc

A continuous discharge ceramic powered steel shot magnetic sweeper apparatus is disclosed. The magnetic sweeper apparatus consists of at least one handle, a frame, support wheel(s), a frontal debris bin, drive wheels, a finned tube housing a ceramic magnetic assembly. The ceramic magnetic assembly comprises a sealed magnetic drum and rotating non-ferrous finned tubes. The magnet is continuously cleaned off as the magnetic sweeper apparatus is pushed forward. Magnetic debris accumulates on the magnet assembly and is deposited in the frontal debris bin. The magnetic sweeper apparatus design utilizes field differences created by the magnet position and angle to achieve the automatic pick-up and drop-off of debris at different locations of the drum. Furthermore, the apparatus aims to solve this high-cost rare earth magnet problem by using lower cost ceramic magnets as an alternative.

Magnetic vertical axis rotary clean off attachment apparatus

Номер: US20240215793A1
Автор: Brian Weber, Shuyue ZHANG
Принадлежит: Bluestreak Equipment Inc

A continuous discharge magnetic sweeper apparatus with a vertical axis rotary clean off attachment. The main magnetic sweeper consists of a handle, a back wheel, a frontal debris bin, a drive wheel and a finned drum housing a magnetic assembly. Magnetic debris is attracted by magnet assembly, accumulates on the finned drum and is deposited in the frontal debris bin. The vertical axis rotary clean off attachment connects to the magnetic sweeper and consists of a main frame body, a mounting feature, a support wheel, a rotary cap and a finned driving wheel. The finned driving wheel is a hollow finned wheel driven by contact with a wall, assisting the magnetic field to move shot from the wall side into the main sweeper's range to be picked up by the main sweeper apparatus.
