A method comprising:receiving, by a computer system, a list of items to be rendered on a display screen;determining, by the computer system, a display priority of each item in the list;determining, by the computer system, a time parameter for each item in the list;determining, by the computer system, a current item in the list to be rendered based on the display priority of each item in the list;rendering, by the computer system, each item in the list of items sequentially, according to the determined display priority of each item; anddelaying, by the computer system, the rendering of the current item for a period of time based on the determined time parameter for the current item.2. The method according to claim 1 , further comprising:prolonging, by the computer system, the rendering of the current item on the display screen for a period of time based on the determined time parameter for the current item.3. There is described a multi step process for preparing an aqueous dispersion of heterogeneous polymer particles by mini-emulsion polymerisation, the process comprising the steps of (I) (a) forming a mixture comprising: (i) water; (ii) at least one stabiliser (such as a surfactant and a hydrophobic co-stabiliser); (iii) at least one tackifier (such as polyterpenes, rosin resins and/or hydrocarbon resins); (iv) at least one α,β-ethylenically unsaturated monomer; (b) applying high shear to the mixture from step (a) to form an essentially stable mini-emulsion comprising an aqueous continuous phase and dispersed therein stabilised droplets of average diameter from about 10 to about 1000 nm, (c) polymerising the monomer(s) within the droplets in the presence of a free radical initiator; (d) adding further monomer to the dispersed phase to form a dispersion; then: (II) using the dispersion from step (I) as a seed to form a dispersion of heterogeneous polymer particles in a subsequent emulsion polymerisation. The resultant tackified PSAs may have a core shell structure and are stable under high shear.

Each panel includes a plurality of microstrip conductor patches forming a phased array antenna. In a first embodiment that includes beam steering, each panel can selectively transmit or receive in a direction that is either perpendicular to the panel, or to the left or right of perpendicular, depending upon relative delay line lengths applied to the left and right antennas. A second embodiment omits the beam steering capability for each panel and simply enables only one of the N different panels to be employed for transmitting or receiving a radiofrequency signal in a direction perpendicular to the panel. PIN diodes are preferably used for selecting the panel that is active, and in the first embodiment, for selecting the delay lines used.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for communication between a network device and a terminal device, where the network device stores information, the information includes a correspondence between a link-layer address and an IP address that are of the terminal device, and the method includes: obtaining, by the network device, a first link-layer address; determining whether a quantity of IP addresses corresponding to the first link-layer address in the information reaches a threshold, where the threshold indicates a maximum quantity of IP addresses that are corresponding to the first link-layer address and that can be stored in the network device; if the quantity of IP addresses reaches the threshold, selecting an IP address from the IP addresses corresponding to the first link-layer address, where a quantity of selected IP addresses is not greater than the maximum quantity; saving a correspondence between the first link-layer address and the selected IP address; and sending, according to the selected IP address, a message to a terminal device having the first link-layer address, where the message is used to notify the terminal device having the first link-layer address whether an IP address is selected by the network device. A problem that a cache of the network device is insufficient can be effectively relieved, and a packet loss in a communication process may be reduced.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a data link layer-based communication method, device, and system. The method includes: generating, by a network device, an adjacency discovery AD message, where the AD message includes a device identifier of the network device; encapsulating, by the network device based on a frame at a data link layer, the AD message, where the frame at the data link layer includes a source data link layer address and a destination data link layer address; sending, by the network device based on the destination data link layer address, the AD message encapsulated based on the frame at the data link layer to a registrar device; receiving, by the network device, a domain certificate sent by the registrar device, where the domain certificate is allocated by the registrar device to the network device according to the device identifier of the network device in the AD message; and establishing, by the network device, an autonomic control plane ACP with the registrar device according to the domain certificate. In the embodiments of the present invention, communication based on an autonomic network may be imperceptive of the IP protocol. This has better network compatibility in comparison with the prior art, and effectively reduces obstacles to autonomic network deployment.

In the method, a first router receives a first Internet Protocol IP data packet sent by a network server, where the first IP data packet carries a first data adding instruction; and the first router searches, according to the first data adding instruction, a first local cache cache for to-be-added data that is indicated by the first data adding instruction, adds, to the first IP data packet, the to-be-added data that is indicated by the first data adding instruction, to form a second IP data packet, and sends the second IP packet. Because a router can add data to an IP data packet according to a data adding instruction, flexibility of data combinations is improved, and because the IP data packet can support multiple times of data adding, the flexibility of data combinations is further improved.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for selecting a negotiation counterpart, and the method is used by a first device in a network to select a negotiation counterpart. Specifically, the first device sends a discovery message in the network, and the discovery message includes a technical objective. The first device receives a first response message with which a second device replies, and receives a second response message with which a third device replies. The first response message carries information about a characteristic that is of the second device and that supports implementation of the technical objective, and the second response message carries information about a characteristic that is of the third device and that supports implementation of the technical objective. The first device can learn technical objective support degrees of the second device and the third device according to the first response message and the second response message, and can further select a device with a higher technical objective support degree from the second device and the third device as the negotiation counterpart. The embodiments of the present invention further provide a related method and apparatus for responding to a discovery message.
