A metal powder body is spherical; the grain diameter is 10 to 50 mu m; the optimal grain diameter is 10 to 25mu m; the preparation method comprises the following steps that: organic solvent is adopted to dissolve coating resin, then pigment and filler are added, dispersed at a high speed or dispersed by a sand mill; metal pigment is added and mixed; and the viscosity is adjusted for pressurizing, spraying and drying, thereby obtaining a metal powder coatingpowder body of the metal pigment evenly coated with the resin.
