FIELD: security means. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to life support in emergency situations occurring in residential or industrial premises during fires or poisonings. Gist of the invention is that a device for cleaning a room in an emergency situation comprises a spraying device, the input of which is connected to a source of liquid, nozzle atomizers are installed at the sprayer outlet, the axes of which are directed inside the channel formed by the walls of a hollow body. Duct inlet is interconnected with volume of a cleaned room with possibility of ejection of gas from cleaned room into a channel with liquid jets, which are directed into the channel by atomizers of the spraying device. At the channel outlet there is a separator for separation of liquid-gas mixture into liquid and vapor-gas components with the possibility of returning the separated vapor-gas component back to the cleaned room. The regenerators contain a heat transfer and/or gaseous impurity or water vapour removing packing. The additional air flow may be dry or wet. The regenerators conserve heat in the enclosure, the humidity of the enclosure is controlled by the humidity of the additional air stream and, when activated carbon is used in the regenerators, carbon dioxide and ethylene are preferentially vented to atmosphere. An air withdrawl duct (24), Fig. 3 (not shown), may be included and a dehumidifier (25) may be located in the enclosure. The Specification lists preferred regenerator packings and discloses experimental data.

The pressure-surge protection valve is spring-loaded into the open position. It has a hooked pair of plates (16) which are linked to a pair of operating levers (22) on a manual knob spindle (10). The valve plug (8) is a truncated cone attached to an axial tube (9) containing the biasing spring. There is an L-shaped slot (18,18a) in the hooked plates (16). A pin (20) projects from the valve tube end, and is hooked by the L-slot (18a) when the valve is closed under excessive air pressure. A spring (19) pulls the curved operating lever plates (22) away from the hooked plates (16) to allow the pin (20) to slide in the slot (18) to the hooked position.

The non-return valve 6 opens at a lower excess pressure than the relief valve 4. The non-return valve 6, pivoted by heat resistant hinges over the outlet end of the pipe 2, can be regulated by adjusting a counterweight 7 to vary its resistance to opening. In a modification, Fig. 2, the non- return valve comprises a clay, or concrete, brick 10, or alternatively, a steel plate covered with heat resistant material, which is pivoted on a spindle 11. The valve 10 may include a packing insert 12, e.g. of asbestos, which is disposed opposite an inclined projecting edge 13 of the pipe 2. the annular gap between the edge 13 and the sealing surface 14 being of sufficient size to ensure that exhausted air does not encounter appreciable resistance. A fluid disinfection module ( 10 ) comprises a first housing ( 12 ) and a second housing ( 20 ) arranged in spaced-apart relationship to each other. The first housing ( 12 ) includes tubular support members ( 28 ) and ( 28 a ) extending laterally therefrom for respective slidable mateable engagement with corresponding tubular support members ( 30 ) and ( 30 a ) also laterally extending from second housing ( 20 ), for varying the lateral distance x between the first and second housings ( 12 ) and ( 20 ). A locking device maintains tubular support members ( 28 ) ( 28 a ) and ( 30 ) ( 30 a ) in fixed relationship with respect to each other. First housing ( 12 ), second housing ( 20 ), and corresponding tubular support members ( 28 ) ( 28 a ) and ( 30 ) ( 30 a ) define a framework for supporting one or more ultraviolet radiation sources ( 18 ) and ( 26 ) that are detachably mounted at one end thereof to housings ( 12 ) and ( 20 ), respectively. Each of radiation sources ( 18 ) and ( 26 ) is preferably encased within a quartz sleeve ( 60 ), and communicates with one or more ballasts ( 80 ) disposed within or without their respective housings ( 12 ) ( 20 ) for supplying electricity to the radiation sources ( 18 ) ( 26 ).

Thereby, the protection system prevents an invasion of external polluted air into the cell body and the inner space of the booth, and thus the lecturer and the student are fundamentally blocked from being exposed to a respiratory virus during a lecture.
