Цель изобретения - повышение качества укладки полотна. Способ заключается в непрерывной укладке полотна тканеукладчиком на стержень свободно висящими петлями. Укладку ведут циклически с асимметричным расположением петель равной длины и со знакопеременным их смещением по циклам. За счет этого перегибы свободновисящих петель не сминаются как внутри слоя, так и между слоями. Количество смещений петель полотна за один цикл не должно быть меньше величины, равной отношению величины прироста радиуса за один цикл к удвоенной толщине ткани. 2 ил.
