The bonded article of claim 8 , wherein said first substrate or said second substrate is a polymer film that comprises low density polyethylene and that comprises one or more fatty amide. The following is the background of the invention. It is often desired to bond two or more substrates together using an adhesive composition in situations in which one or more of the substrates contains a slip agent. For example, a bonded article may be formed by bonding two substrates made of polymer together when one or both of the substrates is made of a polymer that contains one or more fatty amide as a slip agent. Such slip agents are sometimes added to a polymer so that the surface of a substrate made from that polymer will have relatively low coefficient of friction. One problem that arises in such systems is that the slip agent may migrate from the substrate into the adhesive, thereby depleting the amount of slip agent in the substrate and consequently increasing the coefficient of friction of that substrate. One method that has been used in the past to reduce depletion of slip ...

A pressure sensitive adhesive article comprising(a) a substrate (Sa),(b) in contact with said substrate (Sa), a layer (Lb) of a composition (Cb) that comprises one or more acrylic polymer (POLb) having Tg of −10° C. or lower, and(c) in contact with said layer (Lb), a layer (Lc) of a composition (Cc) that comprises one or more acrylic polymer (POLc) that comprises 20% to 90% polymerized units of one or more high-aliphatic vinyl monomer, by weight based on the weight of said polymer (POLc).2. The article of claim 1 , wherein said one or more high-aliphatic vinyl monomer comprises one or more (meth)acrylate monomer.3. The article of claim 1 , wherein said acrylic polymer (POLb) comprises polymerized units of n-butyl acrylate claim 1 , iso-octyl acrylate claim 1 , or a mixture thereof.4. A bonded article made by a process of contacting a substrate (Sd) with the article of claim 1 , wherein said substrate (Sd) is in contact with said layer (Lc). Pressure sensitive adhesives (PSAs) that contain acrylic polymers have many desirable characteristics. For example, they generally have better resistance to chemical reagents and UV light than PSAs made from many other materials. It is often desired to provide a PSA that bonds well to polyolefin substrates. There is a need for PSAs that contain acrylic polymer, that show good adhesion to polyolefin substrates, and that have a relatively low amount of polymerized units of high-aliphatic vinyl monomer.Eric Bartholomew, in “Acrylic Pressure Sensitive Adhesives Exhibiting Enhanced Adhesion to Low Surface Energy Substrates” (presented at the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council conference Tech 34 in 2011) teaches PSAs that have polymerized units of low solubility parameter Tg modifying monomers. The following is a statement of the invention.A first aspect of the present invention is a pressure sensitive adhesive article comprisingA second aspect of the present invention is a ...
