When the weight of powdery materials reaches a prescribed value, the weigher (omitted in the figure) issues an instruction to the screw 2 under the control of a computer to rotate reverse the screw 2, and spill of them is stopped. In case of high-precision weighing, screws 3 and 4 different in diameter are combined as required. Thus, powdery materials are weighed by an optional weight even if an industrial robot is used.

Comparison of the weight is used to adjust slicing parameters for more precise targeting of the desired weight of the next draft. The output of the heating source, the heating mode and the heating time are controlled in correspondence with the measured weight of the food, and it is therefore possible to improve the cooking apparatus such that it is conveniently used and to realize a finely controlled heating operation.

The apparatus determines the weight by measuring the heating of a body of microwave-sensitive material disposed in the chamber during a stage of operation of the magnetron at a predetermined power for a predetermined time, wherein the heating of the body disposed on a wall of the cooking chamber which is not screened by the foods is measured by comparing the variation in the electrical characteristics of components disposed external to the chamber. The electrical components are disposed in a position corresponding with the body and in a position corresponding with a part of the wall which is not associated with the body, such that ambient temperature variations in the body are compensated for by corresponding temperature variations in the wall not associated with the body.

The invention provides an electronic weighing instrument of the electrostatic capacity type which eliminates an influence on a measured weight value of a rate of change in oscillation frequency which is caused by environmental conditions such as an ambient temperature or a humidity. The electronic instrument comprises a pair of capacitors having capacitances which are differentially varied by a displacement caused by a load. The capacitors are alternately connected to the oscillating circuit at predetermined intervals of time, and each time either of the capacitors is connected to the oscillating circuit, an oscillation frequency is fetched from the oscillating circuit. Then, a difference and a sum between two different oscillation frequencies successively fetched from the oscillating circuit are calculated, and the difference is divided by the sum to obtain a measured weight value.
