Изобретение относится к натяжному зажиму для изолированного воздушного кабеля, в частности воздушного кабеля пучковой сборки. Между металлическими пластинами корпуса расположены клиновидные пластмассовые части, между которыми зажимаются концы проводов кабеля посредством зажимного болта. От обеих металлических пластин корпуса отступает проушина, имеющая удлиненное запорное отверстие переменной ширины. На концах натяжной скобы, выполненной из проволоки из нержавеющей стали, расположены утолщенные секции, которые проходят сквозь запорные отверстия только в их более широком конце. Собственное напряжение натяжной скобы прижимает ветви скобы к проушинам. The wires may be provided at a number of locations along the cable and two wires may be provided at each location. The wires may be insulated with the same material as the insulating layer is formed.

This can improve in the prior art and solve the array of waterproofing problems encountered in the entry opening of the main cable of the telecommunication cable splice box.

While laying a subsea cable, an exposed cut off end of the cable is exposed to water prior to permanently sealing off this cable end. To prevent damage to the cable due to contact with the often salt water, due to for example oxidation, a temporarily watertight seal is to be applied to the cut off end. A method for applying this seal is provided which comprises applying a mouldable sealant to the exposed end wherein the sealant acts as a watertight barrier between the water and the cut off end of the cable. The sealant may comprise an intermediate layer between the cut off end and a watertight outer layer arranged to increase adhesion between the cut off end and the outer layer. This allows a broader range of outer layer materials to be used as the outer layer material does not need to adhere directly with the cable. 1. A method for watertightly sealing off an exposed cut off end of a subsea cable , the subsea cable comprising a plurality of cores and jackets contained within an outer jacket , the method comprising:applying an at least partly mouldable sealant to the exposed cut off end of the subsea cable; andallowing the at least partly mouldable sealant to cure or set such that the at least partly mouldable sealant is arranged to prevent water from entering the subsea cable and/or prevent water from contacting the plurality of cores;wherein the at least partly mouldable sealant connects to and seals exposed ends of the jackets.2. A strain relief and cable retention assembly for retaining a cable to a casing includes an anchor made of a flexible material. A strength member clamp fixes the strength member of the cable against axial pull. Cable management structures in the form of spools define at least one notch that communicates with the longitudinal channel for guiding optical fibers extending from a jacket either upwardly or downwardly therethrough. A cable armor stop comprising:a body having an outer shell with a cylindrical shape dimensioned to engage with an electrical connector, the body having an interior cavity formed by an interior surface of the body, the cavity extending through the body between a front side of the body and a rear side of the body, the cavity generally cylindrical in shape with a maximum cross-sectional diameter sufficient to contact a cable sheathing of an electrical cable with a maximum cable sheathing outer diameter in a range of electrical cables with cable sheathing outer diameters between said maximum cable sheathing outer diameter and a minimum cable sheathing outer diameter, the cavity reduced by a radially protruding member extending inwardly such that a terminating end of said radially protruding member is spaced a distance from an opposite side of the interior surface closest to said terminating end, said distance being less than said minimum cable sheathing outer diameter, said distance being approximately 65 percent of the maximum cross-sectional diameter of the cavity, so as to allow electrical conductors of an electrical cable having a cable sheathing outer diameter within said range of cable ...
