According to one embodiment, a method for repetitive transmission using a plurality of sub-carriers includes: preparing a symbol to be transmitted using the plurality of sub-carriers within a single time domain unit; repeating the symbol a predetermined number (N) of times; applying a corresponding one of N different cyclic shift values to each of the N repeated symbols to be transmitted using the plurality of sub-carriers within the single time domain unit; performing an IFFT (Inverse Fast Fourier Transform) on each of the N repeated symbols to which the corresponding one of the N different cyclic shift values is applied; and transmitting the N repeated symbols on which the IFFT is performed using the plurality of sub-carriers.

The disclosure provides an expansion assembly configured to increase a transmitting distance of a MIMO system, the expansion assembly comprises N first RF front end units, N second RF front end units, a first power divider and combiner, and a second power divider and combiner. The first power divider and combiner connects with each of the first RF front end units, for delivering a first signal polarized in a first direction to the each of the first RF front end units. The second power divider and combiner connects with each of the second RF front end units, for delivering a first signal polarized in a first direction to the each of the second RF front end units. Accordingly, the first and second signal polarized in a second directions are capable of being transmitted in different directions, so as to implement the omni-directional transmission and increase the transmission distance.

In this regard, a reference frequency may be divided to generate a first pair of local oscillator (LO) signals, the first pair of LO signals may be divided to generate a second pair of LO signals. The two pairs of LO signals may be utilized to frequency shift a received signal for repeating the signal on a different frequency. The frequency shifted signal may be generated by down-converting the received signal utilizing the first pair of LO signals, up-converting the down-converted signal utilizing the second pair of LO signals, and combining the resulting up-converted signals. A beamforming apparatus for polarized antenna array is also provided in the invention as well as a radio communication device and a system thereof. With the invention, the single-layer and dual-layer beamforming weights are determined for the cross-polarized antenna array without requiring full channel knowledge or the aid of PMI. Computation complexity is lowered and full power amplifier utilization can be achieved.
