The method includes: encoding feedback signals of three carriers to output a bit sequence; and transmitting the bit sequence on a High Speed-Dedicated Physical Control Channel (HS-DPCCH). The encoding the feedback signals of the three carriers may specifically include: mapping the feedback signals of the three carriers into a codeword, in which the codeword can be selected from a codebook, and codewords in the codebook satisfy a particular code distance relationship. The method for jointly encoding feedback signals of three carriers in a Ternary Cell (TC) mode is provided. Feedback signals are transmitted over a single code channel. Therefore, power overhead is reduced, and system performance is improved.

A network module can determine the source destination, and a priority of a packet based on the packet's content. Using the source and destination information, along with a network topology data, the network module can determine if two packets need the same network resources to be delivered to their destination. When the two packets do not use the same resources, there is no conflict, and the packets can be transmitted concurrently regardless of whether one of the packets has a higher priority than another packet. If there is a conflict, the network module transmits the packets based on the packets' priorities.

The measured delay value is determined by the hardware of the first node. Upon determining the measured delay value, timer values of the HTM state machine are set based on the measured delay value.

Methods and apparatuses are provided that facilitate providing an object-based transport protocol that allows transmission of arbitrarily sized objects over a network protocol layer. The object-based transport protocol can also provide association of metadata with the objects to control communication thereof, and/or communication of response objects. Moreover, the object-based transport protocol can maintain sessions with remote network nodes that can include multiple channels, which can be updated over time to seamlessly provide mobility, increased data rates, and/or the like. In addition, properties can be modified remotely by network nodes receiving objects related to the properties.
