In response, the server receives a compliance message comprising updated wait state parameters and updated connection parameters from the client. The new instance of the connection represented by the connection identifier that previously represented the previous instance of the connection is established based, at least in part, on the updated wait state parameters and the updated connection parameters.

The present invention discloses a control method, an apparatus, and a system. In the embodiments of the present invention, a control command is encapsulated into a network data packet to be sent to a remote network driver interface specification (RNDIS) device, and the encapsulated network data packet is sent to the RNDIS device to control the RNDIS device. In the conventional network architecture, a user device can directly send a network data packet to an RNDIS device. Therefore, with this solution, a control command can be transmitted to the RNDIS device without adding a new control interface. Compared with the solution that requires adding a new interface and installing an additional driver program in the prior art, this solution reduces application complexity and has no special requirement for the RNDIS device, which is commonly applicable and easy to implement.

Embodiments of the present invention relate to reducing the cost but increasing the performance by the traditional data streaming where two TCP connections, one for each direction of traffic is used. Further embodiments allow a server in communication with one or more clients using a RPC based communication protocol to bi-directional stream not on two TCP connections but a single TCP connection. If the server receives the handshake, then the client streams a request stream to the server and the server streams a response stream to the client simultaneously over the same single TCP connection establishing full-duplex streaming.

The time delay is a difference between a time when a message is generated by a respective electronic control unit for transmission on a respective controller area network bus and a time when the message is transmitted on the respective controller area network bus. The global time is adjusted for each respective controller area network bus based on the estimated time delays associated with each respective controller area network bus. Global time messages from the master control unit are transmitted to each electronic control unit that include the adjusted global times for an associated controller area network bus.

Disclosed herein is a network apparatus with a common power interface. The network apparatus mechanically connects to a power adapter via an electrical connector, and transfers the power to other electronic device via an electrical port in addition to taking power for the apparatus. In accordance with one of the embodiments of the invention, the apparatus substantially includes a control unit for processing the inner signals and data of the apparatus, and a communication module for processing the wired or wireless communication. A common power interfacing module is particularly introduced to processing the power allocation from the power adapter. A power management unit is also incorporated to managing the power inside the network apparatus, for example taking power for the operation of the apparatus. According to one further embodiment, the network apparatus is a routing device capable of connecting with external storages.

A switch system allows free change of a grain degree of monitoring without being conscious of a routing control. For example, a control protocol of a transmitter is used based on the open flow (OpenFlow) technique to control the monitoring function of the switch system, and the centralized control of the monitoring can be realized as the whole network and the monitoring result is reflected on the routing control. Here, the switch has a flow table for packet transfer and a flow table for monitoring. Both of the tables are searched to one packet and a multi-hit operation is performed to execute the operation of each of the entries. That is, both the tables are searched and the packet is transferred according to corresponding flow entries. 1. Techniques are described for reporting and monitoring network devices using microblog messaging. Embodiments monitor network traffic traversing a network device and performance metrics of the network device to detect occurrences of network and performance events. In response to detecting an occurrence of an event, a microblog message is generated. The microblog message contains at least a description of the occurrence. The microblog message is transmitted to a microblog service, which in turn forwards the message to subscribers. The microblog message may then be analyzed by the subscribers to determine operational attributes of the network device.

The network management system includes a plane management table adapted to manage transmission planes defined as a set of paths in the transmission network, and the plane management table has the function to set and manage a transmission plane (working plane) applied during normal operation and besides, a single or a plurality of transmission planes (protection planes) applicable in the event of occurrence of a fault in the transmission network. Systems, methods, and devices are provided for managing hash table lookups. In certain network devices, a hash table having multiple buckets may be allocated for network socket lookups. Network socket information for multiple open network socket connections may be distributed among the buckets of the hash table. For each of the buckets of the hash table, at least a subset of the network socket information that is most likely to be used may be identified, and the identified subset of most likely to be used network socket information may be promoted at each bucket to a position having a faster lookup time than a remaining subset of the network socket information at that bucket.

Methods and systems are provided for routing or forwarding packet data conforming to two different communication protocols simultaneously in a computer network. The first protocol may be a legacy protocol, such as IPv4, with routing being performed in a manner that maintains legacy behavior and functions. Such functions may include network address translation. The second protocol may be a newer protocol, such as IPv6, with the routing or forwarding being performed through reduced complexity bridging that enables simplified connectivity of second protocol devices. The bridging performed typically requires less memory and processing power than traditional routing techniques such as those implemented for the first protocol. Reduced memory and processing power requirements enable the second protocol routing functions to be added to legacy equipment that would not otherwise be able to support routing of the second protocol packet data.
