Реферат: The invention relates to an operating device (7) for operating at least one functional unit of a motor vehicle, comprising a display (11, 12) which has a touch-sensitive surface (13, 14), and at least one control device for controlling the display (11, 12). Said control device is designed to display on the display (11, 12), a plurality of graphical symbols (16) which are associated with different operational functions of the functional unit. It is also designed to send control signals for carrying out the operational function associated with the selected symbol (16) after receiving an input which is input by a user by touching the touch-sensitive surface (13, 14) by selecting one of the displayed symbols (16). Said display (11, 12) is embodied as an electronic document.
