Tile prodn. from raw wet clay - comprises moulding, hardening, drying and firing at continuously increasing temp.
Реферат: Tiles are made from raw clay contg. added water by moulding, pressing, cutting, etc., then (a) partial hardening by evapn. o f a first part of their wetting water, so as to obtain pieces with a hardened surface crust enclosing a mass of still malleable material, the crust permitting automatic handling of the article without noticeable deformation; (b) drying the evapn. of the rest of the water content, and (c) firing the tiles. The drying plant occupies less floor area than prior art driers. Smaller compact units can be used, which can be controlled by one person. The mfg. cycle is reduced. The consumption of energy is reduced since recuperation of expanded heat is possible. No extra handling is required between drier and furnace.
