Реферат: 1294408 Valves MOTOR COMPONENTS (BIRMINGHAM) Ltd 4 May 1971 [8 April 1970] 16589/70 Heading F2V Poppet valve rotating device comprises a caged ring of balls which roll down inclined ramps as the valve opens, the ring rotating bodily during the closing movement of the valve, producing angular movement of the valve stem. Split collets 11 fit between the valve stem 10 and a port 14 in which are formed a number of ball receiving recesses 15. In each recess is a ball 21, the balls being held in a cage 22. A wire spring 24 has one end engaged in a radial hole in the cage and the other end enters an axial hole 23 in the port 14. A dished spring washer 20 has its inner periphery abutting a shoulder 16 on the port 14 and its outer periphery resting in a cup 19 which forms an abutment for inner and outer valve springs 12 and 13. The recesses 15 have inclined bases forming ramps down which the balls roll when the washer 20 is flattened by the force applied to open the valve. The rolling movement of the balls is opposed by the wire spring 24 and as the valve closes, the spring 24 tends to rotate the ball cage and hence the valve stem.
