[Class 83 (iii).] Rotary tables.-A support for a vice, or for a jig or other work-supporting fixture, or for the work itself, comprises a member b bolted to a bench or machine top c and hinged at e to a member a<1> on which the support a2 is mounted for rotational movement about a screw g2. The member a<1> may be clamped in angular position by rotation of a nut e<1> on the hinge bolt e, forcing the hinge members d<1>, d<2> together against a conical washer e<3>, and the swivelling support a<2> may be clamped by a handle h engaging the head of the screw g<2> which carries a conical nut g. According to the first Provisional Specification, the conical washer may be replaced by interengaging projections and recesses on the members d<1>, d2, released or engaged by sidewise movement of the hinged member effected by a cam lever on the hinge pin, and a catch may secure the hinged member to the bed member in the horizontal position. It is further stated that a vice may pivot directly on the member a<1> and be locked thereto.
