Реферат: 2464. Klingenberg, G. Feb. 7. Pneumatic filters; cleansing; discharging liquid; filtering oils; decanting and settling. -The apparatus comprises several superposed compartments. The heavier impurities settle out, and only the upper and purer layers of oil are allowed to pass upward for further purification. The first and second chambers are connected by a pipe e, and the others by filters F. The upward flow of the oil and its discharge through the cock f are caused by pressure of air supplied by a pump and confined over the oil in each chamber. The filters are automatically cleansed by the reverse flow of oil caused by drawing off the sediment from one of the lower chambers. Oil may be forced out of the storage tank by air supplied by the filter pump, and discharged through the cock h so that drip is returned to the filter.
