Aspirating - apparatus, ejector; nozzles. - A ring-shaped jet nozzle through which pressure fluid is forced in order to suck out a second fluid is so constructed that between the nozzle disks of the ring nozzle is arranged a whirler having a comparatively sharp circumferential edge and provided with lateral blades or vanes in conjunction with similar vanes on the inner sides of the nozzle disks. Fig. 1 shows the nozzle disks a, b mounted on the shaft o, the space between them being limited by the stops g. Fluid under pressure flowing in the direction indicated by the arrows and acting on the vanes d secured to the disks rotate the disks and also cause the rotation of the whirler c to which are secured the vanes e. When no fluid pressure is available, the disks a, b may be secured to the shaft o, which is then driven. Fig. 2 shows a form in which fluid pressure is obtained by means of two turbine - wheels k mounted on the driven shaft o. With this arrangement, the turbine vanes may be omitted, and the whirler may be rotated by the shaft o.
