An electrical component 1 (Figs. 1, 2) e.g. a capacitor is enclosed in a tubular insulating resilient casing of e.g. polypropylene, and one lead 3 extends through an aperture in the closed end of the casing while the other end is fitted with a closure 4 through which another lead 5 extends and is bent over to lie along the outside of the casing parallel to lead 3. Lugs 6 extend outwardly of the casing to form a tapering slot into which lead 5 may be forced and retained. In modifications the lugs may be rounded and undercut to accommodate a flat strip lead (Fig. 3, not shown) or a round lead (Fig. 4, not shown). The lugs may be positioned at the end of the casing through which lead 3 extends. The casing may alternatively be cup shaped. Specification 866,289 is referred to.
