LIGHT-EMITTING ELEMENT, LIGHT-EMITTING DEVICE, AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting element with high luminous efficiency and a long life, and to provide a light-emitting device and electronic apparatus.

SOLUTION: The light-emitting element has a luminous layer, a first layer, and a second layer between first and second electrodes. The first layer is provided between the luminous layer and the first electrode. The second layer is provided between the luminous layer and the second electrode. The first layer is a layer for controlling the transport of positive holes, and the second layer is a layer for controlling the transport of electrons. A voltage is applied to the first and second electrodes so that the potential of the first electrode becomes higher than that of the second electrode.
