An improved modular green roof system for installation on a roof includes: (a) trays, each having a surface chosen from the group of sidewall, bottom and a combination of such surfaces, and having drainage openings that limit the movement of planting media through the surface while promoting maximum root growth and water and moisture transport through the surface, (b) a water management passage, (c) a structural member that extends across each of the trays and attaches to the opposing bottom sidewall to provide rigidity to each tray, (d) locking members for use with the trays, and wherein each of the trays have a locking opening configured to accommodate one of the locking members, (e) stacking members for use with the trays, and wherein each of the trays have a stacking opening configured to accommodate the insertion of one the stacking members, (f) a slope stabilization device, a portion of which is configured to be accommodated in water management passages, and (g) a water retention medium configured for placement below and in direct contact with the tray's bottom surface.

Plant cultivation container

A plant cultivation container is provided which does not need a feed-water tube made of a porous material or the like but the plant cultivation bed material can be made permeated in a relatively short time period. For this purpose, a water reservoir portion for pooling plant cultivation water is provided, the water reservoir portion having a bed material accommodation part for placing a water-absorbing plant cultivation bed material. In the plant cultivation container, the water reservoir portion is provided with a surrounding feed-water channel that surrounds an entire circumference of the bed material accommodation part, and a feed-discharge channel for supplying the plant cultivation water from outside to the water reservoir portion and for discharging the plant cultivation water in the water reservoir portion to outside is provided in communication with the surrounding feed-water channel.

The invention taught is a method and apparatus to mix a special polymer, hot water or other hot water material containing additives and a special mixture of dry growing substances mixed in a particular way so that they may be applied to structures such as to ceilings, walls, and any grade of vertical slants, commercial roofs, courtyards, indoor and outdoor applications. The purpose is to coat any surface and grow any plant for any reason be it erosion control, beautification of an area. The invention would help in reforestation after fires and such. This invention has a wide range of applications and so it is impossible to limit it to just one of these applications.
